WOW! Not only a great price for the huge amount of food but outstanding taste. I got the chicken and ribs with rice and black beans. I did get a side of piri piri(was amazing)to add some heat. The char and seasoning was spot on. Chicken fall off the bone. Ribs perfect for this style of cooking and hard to find where I live. Very well done. Do wish they had Pão de Bico or if they do as an option on grubhub. Wish I lived here as this would be a regular Togo spot.

Been eating here since I was a kid and it still hits every time. I ordered yesterday and was honestly impressed, the smokey rice is incredible, the chicken is super juicy, and the portion sizes are huge.
I do have two small notes for the owner, though:
1. I really miss the black olives in the rice (please bring them back!),
2. and the fries were a little soggy and under-seasoned
Still a 5/5. No real complaints.

Always our go-to when we want to pick up some filling food to eat at home! Sometimes we eat-in as well. Pickup time is reasonable, about 20 minutes. The rice always looks nice & bright. The food is definitely fresh & we also enjoy their desserts! The staff is easy to communicate with when you call your order in. One tray is definitely enough for a family of 4 & you’ll be able to have seconds!

The taste of the food is good, but if you order to pick up food you pay 35 dollars for a small amount, the size of the trays and the quality of the service have gone down, the prices have increased, the truth is I do not see this restaurant as something profitable to visit or order food.

I ordered a whole chicken. They have always omitted the chicken breasts which I found bizarre, but the portions I got included 2 neck bones and pieces with very little meat, and no thighs which I used to get, 2 drum sticks and 2 wings. The food is very tasty don’t get me wrong but filling up on rice for $23 when I order a whole chicken that basically can feed 2 or 3 people when it should serve 4 with leftovers is not enough.

More and more Portuguese and Spanish Barbecue restaurants are coming to your neighborhood. This one is Bound Brook. The menu is usually typical with chicken, pork ribs, beef short ribs and maybe some other ethnic dish. The entrees come with rice and fries. Prices were normally reasonable but, with inflation have gone up dramatically. Still a bargain compared to fast food chicken restaurants. This establishment doesn’t have a liquor license so bring your wine and beer. Food was fresh and we had the chicken and beef short ribs. They have a takeout section, dining area as well as an outdoor section. Plenty of onsite parking.

I remember when food portions were on par with price. Nowadays the prices are sky high and the portions have shrunk considerably. You are now paying mostly for what I consider the ‘filler’ aka rice, with the chicken and beef as decorative pieces. I just paid $44 for 2 pieces of beef ribs and what looks like tiny chicken. Everything is else is rice and a small portion of beans. Never ordering from this place again.
