If you love country cooking and if you miss your grandma’s homemade biscuits and gravy or just a really good meal then 268 grill is for you. The service is tops ! The food is so delicious and it reminds me of the little Cafe my Mom would take us to on Saturday morning. Very clean and comfortable . I stop by every chance I get. Very affordable and the service is excellent.

The waitresses are as unprofessional as it gets. If they make one little mistake and take your order wrong and ask for it to be fixed they get up in your face and really show just how childish and unprofessional grown women can be!! I guess they are afraid fixing a order will be deducted from their checks and they need that money bad enough to try and get in someone’s face and start a domestic dispute. I almost had to call the local law enforcement just to get out of the restaraunt while paying. The owner seems nice but she needs better staff to have a decent place to eat. These grown women act like toddlers with their tantrums. But the worst part is the owner acts like she is scared of them. She just watches. It’s sad.

The food is always good so 5 stars on that. This morning they didn’t put the tomato on the sandwich and there was no silverware to go with the food in the tray …There were different workers in there (exception of one ) since my last visit. Maybe they new to working there.

A wonderful restaurant on the far westside of Elkin along NC 268 Business. I ordered a hamburger and Dr. Pepper. The food was tasty, fast service, and the atmosphere family-friendly. The menu is well-rounded with home-made items. Next trip will be breakfast and I’m looking forward to it.

They make a perfect burger. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Skip all the McDonald’s on Interstate 77 it’s worth the scenic drive if you’re traveling through the area.

While decent tasting, a Club sandwich is supposed to have Poultry, Ham, Bacon, lettuce, tomato and Mayo on toast, commonly a three slice sandwich. 268 Grill is Ham, small bacon, lettuce, tomato and mustard on 3 slices of toast. still good, great prices and friendly staff.

This place may not look like much from the outside, but once you get inside just the smell alone hints that the food will be really good. It’s not that pricy, even for Elkin where nothing really is, and the women working the counter and cooking the food are friendly. It isn’t a long wait to get takeout either, so even if you live close you can leave right after you call it in and it’ll be ready by the time you get there. The burger is alright, although the first time I came it was better than the most recent time. That tells me they probably just buy the cheapest meat they can find. The fries are just standard crinkle cut, but they’re good. If they were open for dinner I would come more often.
