Very cute cafe, popularly known for the pipeliner. I had an amazing sticky bun (only made on Wednesday’s) I got lucky! It is very busy, and space is limited.

First time at 230 cafe! Was looking for a high protein meal so I ordered the chopped sirloin breakfast. The sirloin patty was was a good half pound of meat and was flavorful and cooked just as I asked. I added an egg so had 3. The well done homefries with onions were the best I’ve had in the area. The potatoes were cooked perfectly as were the onions. Rye toast is my go to and thankfully they had it. So many places won’t offer Rye toast for breakfast. Coffee was hot, fresh and plentiful. All in all it was a hugh delicious breakfast . Great value to this reasonably priced meal.
Service was super friendly, helpful and thorough. greeted me like I was visiting her home. Seating is limited. If there’s ever a wait for a table I expect it would be worth the wait. They have 8 counter stools and about 12 tables.
230 Cafe has a great neighborhood feel to it. I suggest checking it out.

I’m not a fan of CASH ONLY places, but this place still gets five stars. They do have an ATM available, but it’s a four dollar surcharge. So come prepared.

I had breakfast and it was amazing. I got a vegetable omelette with home fries and toast. Pretty simple meal, but somehow they raise it a level with preparation and seasoning.

The service was great too. Friendly atmosphere, with cozy seating.

No complaints. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely return.

We were on our way to the airport and find this place to grab a bite for lunch…and it was so good! It’s a simple place, very busy with lots of locals, but welcoming and friendly and great food! My husband ordered chicken strips that came with two sides: he ordered coleslaw and fries. I ordered a cordon bleu wrap which came with chips and a dill pickle spear.

That wrap was so loaded with delicious chicken and thin sliced ham and cheese, and a honey mustard sauce, which they brought an extra container of for adding extra. I loved it, and it really filled me up!

Husband enjoyed his Chicken strips and fries and really liked the traditional creamy coleslaw.

It appeared they had some “to die for” desserts, and some were ordering slices of pie and other forms of goodness to go.
Next time I might just need to stop in for dessert!

Happen to stop in for dinner and it was absolutely amazing! I didn’t even think to take pictures of the food. It’s near the harriaburg international airport. Our party had the turkey bacon ranch wrap, kids cheeseburger, kids chicken nuggets and the cheesy burger (which my husband said was the best cheeseburger he’s had in a very long time!) Portions were great and everything was delicious. I wish we loved closer as we would definitely be regulars. Highly recommend.

We were nearby for the states chess competition with hundreds of people and on our way out for the morning, we had a long drive home, we decided to order food from here. We ordered a decent size order. My husband, African American, went in to pick up the food, he stood by the bar area, no one acknowledged him. The woman sitting at the bar looking area, had her purse on the seat next to her quickly grabbed her purse and hugged it against her lap. People then arrived and stood behind him, the older woman who I can only assume runs the place, then quickly came and asked the people behind him if she had been helped, helped them and walked away ignoring him. One of the other employees who saw what had just happened came over and asked him if she could help him. This type of behavior is 2026 is disgusting and disturbing. Never again.

Nate & Ashley were absolutely the easiest and most caring people to work with as our wedding party and wedding day caterer! They went above and beyond to make our wedding day as smooth as possible, and our guests still talk about how good the food was! I can say with confidence that I would recommend them to anyone in need of a caterer for their wedding, or if you’re just looking for a good home cooked meal (stop by their restaurant)! Would give them 5+ stars if we could!

Response to owner: It’s okay, I don’t need to speak with you because the charge cleared properly from my bank account. I heard talk of retirement when I was there and I believe it was for the server who waited on us, so I guess she was hoping to go out with a bang. As for trying to charge $9.95 for a “cheesesteak hoagie” (i.e., steak um served on a HOT DOG bun), that’s on YOU. It was laughable. Best wishes, we won’t be back.

P. S. Update your menu to accurately reflect the prices you’re charging and the product customers will receive.

TLDR: they charged a higher price than what’s on the menu and the server tried to add an unauthorized gratuity and sign the bill on my behalf.

My daughter and I stopped there for lunch based on the high Google rating. I ordered the cheesesteak hoagie and my daughter ordered a tossed salad. When my “cheesesteak” arrived, I was disappointed to find it was a very small amount of steak-um style meat served on a split-top HOT DOG bun. I asked the server if what I received was actually the “hoagie” and she said yes, it’s a six inch hoagie. It may have been six inches, but it was NOT a hoagie. I was hungry though so I went ahead and ate it.

After receiving the bill, I noticed the price for the sandwhich was higher than the menu price. I went up to the counter and asked to see a menu to confirm, and yes, I was charged $2 more than what was on the menu. I pointed this out to the server and all she said was “ok” and printed out a new bill with $2 discount and I went back to the table. I wasn’t sure of the payment process since the server didn’t say she would take it when we were ready, so I went back up to the counter to pay. The server went by me twice without saying anything, so I returned to the table. She eventually came to the table with her handheld ordering device, which was also used for the payment. I gave her my card, and she didn’t say anything, just started tapping things. I said “aren’t you going to give me a receipt to sign? I saw you tap the 18% gratuity.” She had also had drawn a squiggly line in the signature box.

She stammered and went behind the counter to talk to another person. I decided to go up and see what was happening since she still had my card. The server was telling the other person that I didn’t want to add a gratuity and I interjected and said “no, you just added the 18% gratuity without my authorization.” Neither of them acknowledged my presence and I continued to stand there. When they were finished, the server gave me a paid receipt and said something like “see, no gratuity,” without offering an apology or acknowledgement of wrongdoing. Mind you, I wasn’t planning NOT to tip, but the amount should have been MY decision, NOT the servers.

The higher amount charged is still pending in my bank account and the amount on the paid receipt hasn’t posted yet, so we’ll see how this plays out and if I need to take further action. I know places like this count on people not looking at their bills closely or asking for receipts, but PLEASE, do yourselves and others a favor and hold places like this accountable, especially since there were many elderly folks dining there and they are so often the victims of scams and fraud.
