We ate at 221 Oak last night for the first time and had the opportunity to meet celebrity chef Liza Gavin. Very outgoing professional and friendly!! Great vibe and very popular Overall experience was a 4+, Small portions served on small brown plates. Presentation could definitely be better. Also one long bench across the wall 3” higher than the table chair so plan on looking up at your partner. …could use updating. We will definitely go back. Must have a reservation.

The menu read like poetry. As a fellow Chef the menu alone had me excited to try this restaurant.. sadly the food, though it looked pretty was not appetizing. Proteins were room temp and flavorless. Squash purée cold and over spiced making it clash with the verde sauce. Pasta was cooked al dente but, it was cold. Cesar salad had croutons that were dough like in texture very off putting. $250 and we left dissatisfied and will not return or recommend. Server was excellent.

Had an amazing experience for our anniversary dinner. We sat in the courtyard outside and it was very cool. Food was delicious, the salmon entree was spectacular, every bite was SO tasty. The trout was also very good. Had the crisp with lavender ice cream for dessert, so good. Great upscale experience in downtown Telluride. Highly recommend!

Lovely restaurant experience in a cozy space with super friendly and attentive staff. Food was very thoughtfully crafted, well presented, tasty and high quality. We loved that they have a separate vegetarian menu (with a whole vegan section).
Ordered the vegan cheese appetizer to start – the cheese is made in house and was very tasty. For entrees got the soy glazed tofu stir fry which was excellent and well flavored (the marinade was so good and tasty), and the mushroom ravioli dish (also very good).
For dessert got the apple crumble, which was great.
Would definitely recommend – the dinner here was very nice.

My husband and I had an incredible vegan meal here while we were on our honeymoon, and cannot wait to come back the next time we make it to Telluride. Our server was so great at his job, keeping the pace of the meal feel slow and romantic, but quick enough that we were never left waiting. Drinks were always full and delicious, and I highly recommend any of the mocktails on the menu. Can’t recommend this spot more highly!
