Hubby & I love this area seafood earthy- a fixture in the community for decades- serving southern seafood- trout flounder popcorn & jumbo shrimp – oysters – & more -this place stays busy to say the least – there’s an enclosed shelter to help waiting lines of people from the elements- also security to assist with free ample parking. I had the 220 trout special- a huge fried trout baked potato and a small fresh salad- served fresh hot – crispy. Hubby had a 2 combo with trout & popcorn shrimp- equally delicious – with slaw & baked potato- Our server “Wendy” was fantastic- courteous friendly & efficient- older vintage fishermen decor- very unique. This is not a fancy place- but a family style restaurant with excellent seafood & service. Take out available. Located quite close to a Interstate I 85 North in Henderson NC- a great place to get fried or broiled seafood with reasonable prices.

Our waitress went out of her way to serve us. She did an outstanding job. The food, lackluster at best. The barbecue had no seasoning. So disappointing to go to NC, known for its barbecue, and have the food we had. We sent it back. The hush puppies were great. The deviled crab cakes had pieces of shell. The flounder was just ok, in my opinion. I’m sorry to say I cannot recommend this place at all. The place just looks worn, like ownership let it go down. And the bathrooms looked horrible, all rusted out. I would never go there again.

Food is always amazing! This is my primary reason for going. The all you can eat, non-buffet style menu is definitely my meal of choice here. The service is generally pretty good. Most times that I have visited this place it was with a larger party of 6 to 10 people on average. It definitely gives you an old school family restaurant feel. Because of the open seating arrangement, the atmosphere received a lower rating. Additionally, the building is old and could use a bit of updating, but the restaurant is clean everytime I go in! I don’t mind the building being dated to continue to enjoy the excellent food at an amazing price!

Place is well known and has been a staple of the community for years. I remember coming here as a kid on Friday nights! Food is still amazing! Fried shrimp & hush puppies are my favorites! Cole slaw is good too! Highly recommend! Will always think of my Dad and my childhood when I go here!! Great food, great staff!

Great hometown feel… The food was great…. The only drawback was the attitude of the wait staff, and lack of knowledge about menu items.. I received my plate, there were clearly two different types of fish on the plate, the waitress basically told me they were the same… I knew they were breaded differently, tasted different, and had a different texture. Other than that Great Food, Great Price, would definitely eat again .

Food was great. They worked the poor waitress to death and she needed help but did great on her own. She sure earned her tip. Will go back again when I am in town. 30 years ago ran for Mayor there. Food was great then and now 30 years later

Decent for an inland seafood place. Hush puppies were amazing. Large selections of fish. Scallops were kinda high at $9.50 for a side order but they were good. Boiled shrimp were fresh and clean which I love. I hope the clam chowder was from a can or they need to work on it because it was closer to cheap potato soup, very little clams. BBQ sandwich was pretty good as well.

It was terrible. I went up there to enjoy a meal with my fiancé after being on the road for 4 hrs to just have it ruined. The waitress Wendy was extremely rude. She barely checked on us to see if we needed anything as well as telling us that she barely gets tipped being her pay is terrible. I’m sorry but if you did a better job you’d get tipped more honey. Not to mention the food tasted like a dirty floor in a hoarders house.
