Who would have thought in a small city like Statesville, I would find some incredible food! The Tuna was great as an app. Then the salad (I’m a huge salad guy) with spectacular apple honey vinaigrette dressing that was not too sweet. They call it “seafood pasta” but it’s frutti di mare! Superb. The Parmesan risotto, excellent!!! The only issue is that they had 10 beers. 2 lagers, that’s the picture of their lagers. I think my German buddies might be upset to see those are called “lagers”… but I won’t judge the place on their beer. Superb dinner!

I had the ribeye steak sandwich with garlic risotto and it was wonderful! Staff was friendly and the restaurant is very well setup, minus the table we sat at was near the front door and it was in the 30’s outside so we kept getting a blast of cold air. Just ask not to sit there if you dont like the cold. Great date night stop!

My husband and I went here for a date night and loved it. I just ordered lunch and dessert today to-go, and it was just as amazing. I got the buffalo chicken wrap with mac and cheese, and their mac and cheese might honestly be the best I’ve ever had. The apple tart with ice cream was also incredible. It’s crispy on the outside but soft in the middle, and that’s coming from someone who usually doesn’t even like apple desserts. Highly recommend!!

We made a reservation for this restaurant on Valentine’s Day & it did not disappoint! Server was very friendly and helpful! Food was delicious – Fried goat cheese, caesar salad, crab cakes & ribeye steak. Chocolate Martini – delish!!! Quaint & cozy! Only downside – they had a musician there playing music a bit too loud. Plus didn’t help we were seated right next to him. But overall a great place to try!!

I can’t say I’m a fan of the shrimp and grits….too many fillers (tomatoes) and small portion for the price. Pedestrian grits….service and atmosphere is great, so I will try another dish in the future. Food was disappointing overall.

March 28, 2025, we were blessed to have my son’s rehearsal dinner at 220 Cafe with 45 guests. I cannot say how thankful we are for the incredible evening that Kelly, her husband, and staff prepared and served for us. We did not know Kelly before, and we were only introduced to her when previous arrangements fell through. Little did we know that the change was “meant to be.” Kelly gave us the entire restaurant for the night and focused entirely on our needs. From the custom menu she selected and printed, to the impeccable service, to “forks-down” one of the best meals we have ever had, it was an unforgettable experience. Bar service was spot-on with generous appetizers to greet us. It only got better from there. Huge servings, something to suit every taste, choice of nine sides and three amazing desserts. All guests raved about the food and the time together, and all said they would return. So relaxed, efficient, welcoming, and most of all delicious. And right on the budget that we had planned. Worth every penny for a once-in-a-lifetime evening. Thank you, Kelly!

Drove up from South Carolina to spend the day in the downtown area of Statesville. Stopped into this place for lunch, and it did not disappoint! Had the salmon and haricots verts, wife had the Portobello burger, and they were great! Would definitely dine there again when back in the area.

Cozy little cafe restaurant in the heart of downtown Statesville. There is ample seating inside with 7-8 small tables and 2-3 tables outside by the sidewalk. While here for lunch we tried the 220 chicken sandwich with the mac & cheese as well. It was good and seemed fresh and delicious. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and was very fresh and delicious, only minor concern was it was wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and it seemed a little dry as it was falling apart. I also got the mac & cheese. This was the real winner here. It was fresh and included sautéed onions which put it over the top. The waitress seemed nice but was only one there for whole restaurant and seemed a little stressed. The food was good, but was a little on the pricy side. All in all I was happy with the visit and would try again.
