This was one of my favorite restaurants on our whole Colorado vacation. The bison ravioli was amazing. Definitely make reservations as they fill up quickly. Also, even they though are on the pricey side, you get so much food for said price

Awesome little restaurant, the food was awesome. We had 2 types of oysters and the sausage and peppers appetizers and they were all delicious. There meatballs were incredibly good as was the parmesan chicken. The wait staff was very attentive and great at their jobs. Love the small family restaurant feel of the place!

This place was very busy for a Thursday night however, they made accommodations and got us a table right away! Our server Lauren was probably the nicest server I’ve ever met. The grilled oysters, clam linguine, and bison ravioli were delicious! We will defiantly come back here again.

My girlfriend and I travel extensively, and live in Denver. I used to be a professional chef, and could not give Ferraro’s a more glowing recommendation for its food. While it is on the high side for Salida, if you were to get the same type of food in Denver, it would easily be 50% more. The fact that they hand make all of their noodles, even the spaghetti, put this place over the edge.
Don’t miss the mushroom polenta. We got the 50-50 spaghetti and meatballs and sausage, but subbed spaghetti for linguine. A smart move we think.
This is not Michelin fair, but honest home cooked Italian food in a small, rustic environment. Make reservations.

This place is really cute. Very small. Making a reservation is highly recommended. I went for my birthday. We saw them turning away people that didn’t have one since the restaurant is so small. Food is really good! They make their pasta fresh daily so, you can’t go wrong there. The caesar salad dressing has horseradish which I wasn’t used to & didn’t taste the best. Salads also overdressed. I had the 4 cheese lasagna which was really good! Service is a little slow…took us over an hour to get our main course & with a 4 year old that was tough. Overall it was a good birthday dinner. We would eat here again.

I took myself to Salida for a three-day staycation; life was sucking and I had to get away. Luckily I had an above-average paycheck so I decided it was time to treat myself. I dressed up a little bit and took myself on a date. I enjoyed walking by the riverfront and decided to have a fine dinner at 216 Ferraro’s. I peeked in the window and saw how beautiful and fancy it was and decided that my lovely date was worth it.
I ordered a glass of moscato, a caesar salad and a dish called “Pink Floyd.” I’m not going to lie; I ordered that dish because Pink Floyd is my favorite band and I was banking on the dish being as delicious as the band is awesome. I was not disappointed–Pink Floyd (the pasta dish) was nothing short of delightful. The caesar was fantastic, too: I particularly loved the caesar dressing–it was delightfully peppery. There was also a massive amount of cheese on there, which is nothing to complain about. The meal was served with fresh bread.
After drinking my moscato I decided that I was feeling super fancy so I ordered Creme Brûlée: my favorite dessert. It was served with an actual orchid flower as a garnish. I was kinda impressed by that.
The atmosphere was pleasant enough; the place was quite busy and I think it’s more of the sort of place that you get reservations for–but I was accommodated at the bar, which was okay. I was by myself, after all. It would have been a nicer experience eating at a table, though the dining area feels a little cramped. Not a big deal; it was still elegant and nice. I liked that the lighting was low.
If I were on a date (that was not with myself, but with an actual guy) I would be pretty impressed with his choice of restaurant. The food was really quite good and there was a good bit of it. I’d definitely recommend it for a nice date or if you’d just like to spoil yourself a little bit.

Awesome place to have a nice dinner! Food was excellent as was the service. The bartender Lory makes the best tiramisu martini! We come to Salida once or twice a year and we always make sure we eat here.
