The smothered burrito was pretty good! Was it the best in Denver like some of the reviews say? No, it’s absolutely not in the same conversation at all. For me, on the handheld burrito, there was a ton of potato and not enough green chili sauce through out. Bacon didn’t taste fresh either. Green chili sauce was good, but far from Denver’s best.
If you’re looking for a pretty good burrito for a great price then this is your place. Perhaps relaxing on the amount of potato and adding more green chili sauce and egg/bacon on the handheld would make it much better.

This was a nice surprise. It was recomended for breakfast by the front desk of a nearby Hostel. Small Mexican dinner. Just what I needed. No fuss good food. The steak breakfast burrito was something else ! Big and full of steak, eggs, potato, cheese and salsa from top to bottom. I saved half of it for later. The girls in the kitchen and front counter were so sweet and attentive. Would recomend if you want to try mexican value for money good food.

Stopped in for breakfast and it’s the best breakfast I’ve had in probably a year or more. Everything tastes great and I will absolutely recommend them to everyone.
They’ve now become the regular breakfast spot going forward. Probably dinner too once I can order a margarita. Haha

First time trying this place and I loved it!! Highly recommend any of the burritos. Delicious it was and service was professional and friendly. Made us feel welcomed right away. Atmosphere had the cafe vibe as expected and it was awesome!! Highly recommend to stop by and try em out.

In town for a conference, hotel doesn’t offer breakfast until 7am and it’s 6am and I’m hungry. To my surprise, the only option is Starbucks (heck no!). So I Google, walk 15 minutes and find this gem. Do not judge a book by its cover. Nothing to write home about. I sat myself at a table and the staff came with the menu. First things first. Coffee and water. The menu offers were so Mexican and I mean that in a positive way. Yum, yum, yum! Didn’t know what to order so I went with a Denver omelette, Mexican style. Huge portion, sauce in a bowl, bread in aluminum foil. Look at the pics to see what I’m talking about. Coffee was on point and the mug was unique. I consider the price relatively cheap. I’m from NYC, so this would be $25+ without the pro staff, portion and quality. Highly recommended and support a local business punching up to its competitors.

Stopped by this restaurant along 20th Street for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the renovations inside. I heard that the previous and historic iteration had been closed for a few years, but just discovered that it had reopened earlier this year. Good selection of food items on the menu, esp. if you like Mexican cuisine. Smothered breakfast burrito is delicious and cooked in generous portions. Friendly, attentive service as well. Plenty of seating at tables or counter. Parking is on-street with meters, as there is no dedicated lot for the restaurant. Recommended!

Excellent Mexican food! The #7 Chile Rellenos were perfect and thoroughly covered in delightful sauce. I really loved how much I could taste the peppers in both the sauce and the Rellenos. Both the green and red sauces are excellent and rich in flavor. The green sauce has just a touch of heat, but is very accessible. The red sauce was a delightful surprise as it almost reminded me of the deeper flavor of a molé sauce. I loved them both and enjoyed mixing them. I also enjoyed trying the hard and soft versions of the Rellenos, but would probably get the hard in the future since the crunch was excellent. The drinks and portion size is quite generous. Excellent value, excellent service. Also very clean bathrooms for paying customers. An easy 5 stars and high recommendation.
