Rodeo spotlight.
Perfect location at the top of Rodeo Drv opposite the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

Nice elevated position, with indoor and undercover outdoor seating.

We visited this spot 9 years ago and loved it, so decided to try it again.
Service staff very friendly and attentive, and keen to provide recommendations.

We choose the pasta bolognese and chicken schnitzel. The pasta had a rich meat ragi with thick layers of pappadella pasta.

Chicken breast panko crumbed schnitzel was thin, cooked well and accompanied by a smooth mash and crunchy broccoli.

For a tourist Mecca of Rodeo Drive, this was a pleasant surprise.

For it to be such a tourist spot, I was pleasantly surprised, the food was above expectations. Ingredients were fresh and dishes very well presented. I had the burrata and lamb appetizers for lunch. Very good portions, actually bigger than expected. It was a beautiful day to eat on the patio, but I opted to eat inside. The restaurant is small, so I’d recommend reservations, even tho I walked right in.
It’s at a perfect location right at the beginning of rodeo drive. So you can go for a nice walk afterwards.

I was doing some touristy things in Beverly Hills and fancied some lunch. The doorman at the Beverly Wilshire recommended 208 so we gave it a shot. Considering its location I think I represents great value. There is a lot on the menu so you can have something simple if that’s what you (and your budget) fancy or order Champagne and caviar if that’s your thing. The food was fresh, tasty and well presented. I had the Burger and my friend had fish of the day. Both tasted great (I had some of her fish). Service was great too. Side note. The current duty manager looks like he’s just walked off a movie set, so look out for him. There is a lot to recommend at 208.

Food is really yummy and with the Christmas lights and Four Seasons hotel in the background, the vibe is lit! Service is nice but the only thing I felt was a little wrong was this- the waiter explained the menu to us (which was so helpful) and he said the special included black truffle pasta “which everyone is raving about and about 30 people just today got this.”
On the menu, the item listed above black truffle pasta was $36, and the pasta itself didn’t have a price.
We got the check and the pasta was $75!!!!
I do have to agree- it was amazing pasta and A LOT of black truffle. But a little notice would have been good or I at least should’ve asked the price.

We got: bread, trio dip, black truffle pasta – everything was super yummy.

This place is very touristy, and we were greeted wonderfully at the entrance. We were seated at a beautiful table and the front-of-house girls were absolutely flawless. My friend and I wanted to try their creamy pasta, which was not on the menu, but the server told us they could make it for us, which we appreciated.

Both of us do not eat red meat, and my friend never eats it at all. She ordered a white pasta with chicken and I ordered one with shrimp. Unfortunately, both the chicken and the shrimp had a very strong beef taste, almost as if everything had been cooked on the same grill without being cleaned. It was quite noticeable and not pleasant for us. We told our server about it, and her reaction was not very friendly.

Throughout the evening she kept coming over to rush us, and her attitude felt uncomfortable. She tried to smile, but it was the kind of tight smile where you feel that the person is forcing it. It made the overall experience less enjoyable.

We also asked for regular water, but instead we were brought bottled water that we did not request. We paid for it without any issue, but we came to have wine and did not really need it. It did feel like they were trying to upsell everything, and if you politely decline, the reaction can be a bit strange and make you feel uncomfortable.

The view is beautiful, and the location is lovely, but the service could definitely be better. I hope they improve the experience, because the place itself has a lot of potential.

The food at 208 Rodeo was good, but nothing particularly memorable or extraordinary. The flavors were decent, and everything was prepared well—but for the price point, I expected a bit more creativity or uniqueness. The setting is nice, but overall it felt like you’re paying more for the location than the actual dining experience. It’s not a bad spot, just unreasonably overpriced for what you get.

Very nice gentleman helped me and my fiancee out on our anniversary dinner. A great selection of food on the menu from seafood lobsters to ribeye steaks; both were excellently prepared. The flavor and the presentation were above and beyond. Small yet elegant restaurant. Great drink options. They provided heaters when it was chilly outside. Our server even gave us a personalized dessert for our anniversary which was very neat and much appreciated. There is valet nearby & underneath Rodeo Drive. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy an elegant dinner experience that matches the atmosphere of Rodeo Drive! I will return in the future

I can’t believe they served this burnt burger to my 2 year old! The ambiance was fine but this food is inedible. She didn’t try it in the restaurant so we took it to go. She was picking around the burger and only eating the bun. I saw how burnt it was and couldn’t believe they served that to her. I was charged $35 for this burger and fries for a child.
