Had lunch here with my coworker on Friday and my braised rib tortelloni was fantastic. Even my coworkers saffron risotto and braised meat looked very delicious. Service was excellent and was interesting to see so many big parties at lunch in Carlsbad. I would come back again to try the pizza and some other dishes that looked interesting. Good place to catch up over lunch and feel relaxed. I know exactly where this place is. I didn’t drive but if you are driving from opposite direction the Google Map directions to get here are somewhat misleading, prepare for extra time for lunch.

We came here for dinner and the outdoor ambience was beautiful with lights and there were plenty of heaters to keep us warm.
We got started on bread and polenta for appetizers. The bread was warm and it came with a nice herb butter. The polenta tasted alright, but wasn’t fan of the cheese sauce. The polenta was crispy and soft. For entrees we got Mushroom pasta and their specials lamb rack with risotto. The pasta was delicious with perfect bite to it. The creamy mushroom sauce was tasty. The lamb was a bit disappointing, it was a little tough and the risotto wasn’t cooked well.

Cucina Italiana absolutely nailed it. The tortellini alla crema parmigiana was hands down the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. The cream sauce was rich and perfectly balanced, and the tortellini were cooked flawlessly, with tender, flavorful meat in every single bite. Every petite bite was outstanding. I went early and the service was fantastic as well. An easy five stars.

This is a hidden gem! Owned by Italians from Bologna (food Capital of Italy), it is some of the best authentic Italian I have had in the States. I lived in Italy for 2 years and am always looking for Italian food that isn’t America-ized. Great kids menu too. Benedetta was our waitress and was so helpful and friendly. We spoke a bunch in Italian and she had great recommendations. We got the Balanzoni Pasticciati and Garganelli di Guanciale (seasonal pasta). Our 4 year old got an amazing pesto pasta. All were phenomenal!

Discovered an amazing Italian spot near Carlsbad Airport after visiting the Flower Fields! Spacious seating, plenty of parking, and super kid-friendly. We tried the fried calamari & veggies, Cacio e Pepe pizza, and their house-made bread (only $2.99!). Portions were generous, flavors were spot on—especially the pizza, which perfectly captured the classic pasta’s essence. Everything was so good, we’re already planning a return visit! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Fabio and the rest of the team were knowledgeable and friendly. We tried 6-7 items and all were freaky prepared and scrumptious. The lasagna was the highlight of the show but the pear walnut salad was also divine.

This place is so unexpectedly wonderful. You would never think of such a great restaurant in the back of an industrial park but it is hands down the best Italian food I’ve ever had in San Diego. The building is spacious, ( I hate when you’re in a restaurant where you can’t even push your chair out without hitting someone at another table) lots of room between you and other diners. The wait staff is superb and the head waiter, with his accent!! He’s a sight for sore eyes! The food is absolutely amazing from the bread, apps and main courses. The portion sizes are appropriate, not like when you go to most Italian places that just put way too much food on your plate. It’s my favorite places to go! If you love Italian ❤️ you must try this wonderful restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic food. Very large menu with authentic Italian food and exceptional service. Serving sizes were perfect without the massive portions seen at box Italian restaurants. Location is a tad odd with no real markings on roadside, its a corporate building so trust your map. The atmosphere has minimalist modern feel, and they did a great job decorating. That said, it still kinda feels like your eating in a corporate office building cafeteria. All and all this place is wonderful and will come back.

The food here is very authentic. It is a fine dining experience. Outside patio is the best place to be seated, especially if it’s a nice sunny day. An Italian restaurant with real Italians 🙂
