The atmosphere and service was excellent, the staff was extremely nice, attentive and clean. The place is also well decorated and vibe inside is just really nice. I thought the teriyaki chicken was a tiny bit bland but the miso soup was great. Big portion sizes for the bento boxes.

Never before have I experienced such awful customer service. Not only did Esteban incorrectly take my order (as I was pointing to the itsm in the menu), I asked 4 times where my order might be and again showed him in the menu what I had ordered all the while he said it was being made. I watched my entire party finish their meals, as well as several other tables that ordered after me. I finally walked up to the register and simply asked for him to refund my order. At this point, he informed me that the wrong item was ordered and proceeded to tell me that it was my fault that he input the order incorrectly. It was one roll, and he got it wrong. That wasnt so much the problem (if he had told me to begin with, I wouldve happily eaten the wrong order). But the awful attitude, rudeness and incompetence of this employee was beyond anything I have ever experienced in the service industry. Esteban continued on to tell me that I should have read the small screen to make sure that my order was correct to begin with while flat out lying that he told me to check the order when it was placed. I had no receipt, so when handing me the refund, he shortchanged me by $1. Seeing that no rolls on the menu were only $7, I called him out and said that he gave me the wrong amount. He proceeded to berate me and threw 10 dimes in my hand and walked away as I asked his name. I had to get his name from the sushi chef who was actually very nice. No apology, no substitution, just a young incompetent man telling me that he was too busy to take care of his own mistake. One more minor detail, the young lady in our group was so excited about having miso soup and that never came either even though we asked ywo more times when it would be delivered. Now I understand why the reviews of this place stink. If you could get some good service here, things may look up for you. I never write poor reviews, but this one was so needed after what I experienced. There is a first time for everything. Owners should fire this guy; he has no business working with the public.

Not a fan of this place. Food was a big let down. Sushi was really hard on the outside with barely any salmon inside-mostly rice.

WARNING, ROTTEN FISH
We went here today and ordered salmon sushi and the fish was decaying and gray. When I asked the server he simply said Yeahh uhh it’s good it’s raw. No duh but it’s literally rotting. We also ordered Thai tea and it appeared to have expired clumpy milk. The water is straight warm Tap water. The chef said the fish was “good to go”, definitely not taking that chance.

The place is weird. Decor that doesn’t make sense and a staff that seemed disinterested. Things we wanted to order off the menu were not available, and while the food was fine, it was strange that when I asked for Sriracha they gave me a little dipping saucer if it… For my soup. It was all just blah, and I felt like I should have picked somewhere else to eat but it was too late by the time I realized how weird it was.

• food looked ok.
• spider roll was served with a bug in it
• spider roll was messily put together such that it would completely fall out upon touching it. the pieces also weren’t properly separated, which caused even more of a mess.
• blue moon roll was really bland
• service was slow, but they were nice
• cute place

This place is the worst. I would never come here again. The fish did not look fresh and the noodles in the udon were soggy. Avocado in the sushi roll was brown. I am hoping i don’t get food poisoning. What a waste of $50. I hope they step up their game so they can make it downtown.

It was okay here. Not as good as it sounds but I wouldn’t refuse to go here as a last resort (Okay, maybe I would) The food was okay, you get served cucumber water or you can go up to the counter to get normal water. You either order with the qr code on the table or go up to the counter. Not sure if I would go here again, but it was a solid 3 star

I came here with my boyfriend as we were visiting. The lack of stars is due to the manager/owner, whoever they were. He was VERY rude to his new hire, who was in charge of taking our orders and waiting the tables. The food itself was decent, but the vibe of the restaurant was ruined by the manager. Him scolding the employee from the back and also IN FRONT of customers made the work environment look very toxic, even though the employee was very helpful in providing great service, and even helping us pick out what we wanted to eat! I also left the restaurant not completely satisfied. You can tell they were a little cheap with the food quality as well, especially because the pictures look a lot better compared to what you actually get.

The appetizers in the photo were good, but the main food was really bad. I got the chicken katsu curry hoping it would be a rich and unique curry. But there was barely any curry and the tiny amount of curry somehow got soaked into the katsu so every piece was soggy. The flavour was very uninspired and tasted like the cubes you can buy at the grocery store and the veggies and rice had no flavour to save them. For $20, it was pretty disappointing.

It’s a shame because the owner was super friendly at farmers market and made some really good shishito peppers. I feel like the quality at the restaurant when i went didn’t reflect his standards.
