Caitlin (bartender) was fabulous. Genuinely nice personality with a great smile.
I’ve never had Huevos Rancheros but decided to try it. (I added grilled chicken!) It was FANTASTIC!
Coffee is good, server was attentive and atmosphere was nice!
Highly recommended!!
My visit was at 9:00 am.
He ordered biscuits w sausage gravy…def not housemade—wallpaper-paste thick, scarce meat, no flavor. I ordered sunny eggs with toast and “country” potatoes—expecting proper sauteed potatoes with onions but nope, another disappointment, just deep fried squares like you get from Ore Ida. Why did we pay over $30 for this low quality stuff obviously made by Sysco or some other bulk supplier? It’s shameful.
The cook who made the eggs has skills…they were tender, perfect. Let him cook, why don’t you, instead of slapping canned gravy and frozen potatoes on people’s plates? Yuk!
I won’t return to find out what they can do to a filet. Just…If you don’t want to cook breakfast, stay closed in the morning.
The restaurant wasn’t busy; we were sat and got our drinks in a timely manner. We all put our order in (table of 6), and I told our server if my toddlers Mac and Cheese is done first, to please go ahead and bring it out. We all ordered easy meals (fish and chips, med rare burger, patty melt ect). I had a coffee to drink. Tables that were sat after us, were served their food, after waiting over 25 minutes, I asked our server if my daughter’s Mac and cheese was done. He said he would check on it. After a few more minutes finally all the food came out. I immediately was disappointed, I could tell the food had been under the heat lamp as everything tasted lukewarm. My husband’s mushroom Swiss burger had hardly any mushrooms/sauce, my daughter’s entire plate wasn’t fresh, my side item was not hot. Very, lukewarm plates. I never was offered a refill on my drink, luckily I was able to have water from another at our table. Constantly had to ask for napkins to be brought to the table. Not a good visit. It took way too long for a simple lunch (over 30 minutes), and for the restaurant to not be busy. I don’t think we will be back.
Based on the reviews it’s sounds like the owner keeps the joint chronically understaffed to keep operating margins low because our food was slow coming out and the bartender apologized that they were on a skeleton crew which seems to be a review trend. Server wasn’t mean or rude or anything but also not particularly attentive either.
As for the food, we tried the datil blue cheese chips, gyro and 2 creeks burger and they were all pretty astoundingly bland. Perhaps catering to the more senior population they attract but more likely again a cost saving measure. Sadly not a highlight for the area & not likely to go back.
If it were cheap diner style pricing, I might cut it some slack but it’s not overly economical either.
Like I said solid 2 star kinda place. Ate the food, didn’t die, wouldn’t go back or suggest it.
The sweet tea was fine.
My friend had pancakes and she didn’t like them.
She said they were dry.
The server was busy and efficient.
Our server was Julien R. He did a great job.
The restrooms were clean, and I was impressed with the air filtration system.
The kitchen was clean.
Overall, It wasn’t a bad experience.
We will just pick different food choices next time we are in the area.
