I just felt I should respond to the review left by K,N,R Cichy, because it’s blatant misinformation.
While I don’t know the reason they decided to change their name to “1988 teriyaki” on Google, the fact is JOA teriyaki has 4.2 (682 submissions) stars; the reason was NOT bad reviews.
It’s not “the best ever,” but it’s a solid choice, and they’re open later than most local teriyaki.
They’re worth the price, esp the combo plate.

⛔️WARNING DON’T EAT HERE⛔️ This place is so bad that they literally gave it two names because the reviews were so bad!! I mean it go’s by JOA Teriyaki or 1988 Teriyaki same place different names for reviews !! You work hard for your money and build a very hardy appetite, to waste your money on getting food that is so bad that you can’t even satisfy your hunger. To each is own, just giving a bit of advice. Based off of experience!
