We went yesterday and it didn’t disappoint! We found the place here on Gmaps. After watching some pictures we decided to try it. The beautiful lady that i forgot to ask her name asked us if it was our first time there and since it was, she kindly explained about every plate they had very friendly and patiently. I tried the shrimp pasta and my hubby the tilapia and shrimp plate. IT WAS DELICIOUS!! Fricking good!! So just do yourself a favor and try it! You won’t regret it! And THANK YOU 1986 kitchen! We loved it!! The service and the food!♥️

First off, the service here was great. Very warm, helpful and welcoming. The restaurant itself is small, but it’s cute, clean and set up well. We had the jerk chicken pasta and the salmon bites with collard greens and french fries and a large 1986 drink (tea, fruit punch and lemonade mix). Everything was excellent and the portion size were large. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

I had stopped by 1986 Kitchen and asked them if they sell “Chicken wings and Fries” and they said yes and I say good, I’ll be back. I’m glad I came back the next day and the day after and tried their food. I love the food. The taste is real good soul food. Their food taste as if it is personally and uniquely made with love for you. This is my go to restaurant for good soul food cooking. I highly recommend.

Amazing! The food, the service even the musics that’s been played in the restaurant was really good and considered. Everyone is so friendly and positive you feel like it’s your family’s place. But the food 10/10 portions are huge, reasonable prices. I love 40 minutes away but definitely coming back

I randomly found 1986. Restaurant Manager was so pleasant and caring. I ordered Tilapia and shrimp with peas and rice, broccoli, baked beans, yams and a flop drink. First time ever in this restaurant but honestly everything I had was beyond delicious, I would go back to try some of her other dishes and also repeat the one I purchased today.
I will also tell others about 1986, so if you are ever in the mood for great food 1986 is it.
