We really enjoyed the flavors of 1960 Cocina. The service was great and attentive with everyone in the restaurant working on all the tables making sure no one is left out. I should point out that this is Mexican food elevated and much unlike the usual cheese and poor quality meat that come from so many other mainstream Mexican places.

The bar program seems decent with some nice tequila cocktails, my wife had the margarita and it was delicious. I enjoyed a local beer.

We shared the chips and quac which were presented well and delicious. The tomato topping was a nice touch.

The special tonight was posolé and it was perfect, the presentation was awesome with fresh radishes atop the stew to add texture. Overall the flavors were melded and delicious.

I enjoyed the birria, which had nice warm spice and tender tri-tip sourced from Longs, one of the best butcher shops in the area. Overall, I heartily recommend!

We enjoyed having dinner here, but I think the chef was reaching for a unique Mexican experience and missed the mark with flavors and seasoning. Some things were bland, some very very salty, and others too spicy. It’s really hard to beat an authentic Mexican food cart in Eugene. It was nice to sit down with my elderly parents and the service was great and the bathrooms clean. Just a bit disappointing for the price.

This is the saddest ‘Mexican’ food I’ve ever had. No flavor, little to no veggies, no crunch, soggy tacos. The prices here are far in access of what a Michelin star restaurant will cost you in NY/DC.
$25 for Birra tacos, I paid $18 for the same dish in a major city last week. Yo hago lo que me da la gana. The experience is sad, as you get the same view the guy across the street gets while pumping his gas.

The atmosphere, food, and customer service BLEW US AWAY! From the outside and small parking lot it did not seem so special. However once you open their black, fancy door you are greeted by good music and elegance with a splash of Mexican culture❣️The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. The food and presentation was off the charts amazing! We will be making another trip to Eugene JUST to eat there again!

The service is absolutely great here, but the food is even better. I love spicy food and the chicken enchiladas with the split sauce is my go to. All of their various salsas and dips for chips are amazing, and the margaritas NEVER disappoint.

Small in size but big on flavors and heart! Delicious and thoughtfully crafted food. The drinks are refreshingly good too! Do sleep on the Frijol Soup if you are a bean lover. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and nicely portioned. A great casual yet nicer option than the average Mexican or Latin dining atmosphere. Extremely friendly and we’ll paced service.

A very cozy Mexican restaurant. The food was all great and the drinks were strong. We really liked the homemade salsas.

I recommend trying the tacos my favorites were the shrimp and also the asada. For a starter the crunchy potato tacos are perfection.

Amazing food! The Chips and guacamole were so tasty! The chicken enchiladas in green sauce were so cheesy and yummy with a good kick, but not too spicy. The atmosphere was pretty cool with their lights all over the walls. The only negative I would say would be how long it took to get to a table prepared and there was only one server in the entire place. But the food speaks for itself so delicious!

We had dinner with our friends. The menu is simple but with great selections. From starters, tacos, entrees and desserts. Don’t forget to ask for the drink for today. We ordered two small starters and each of us got tacos. I particularly recommended the adobaba.
