1933 Bar + Kitchen in Marysville is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits just right, stylish, welcoming, and effortlessly cool without feeling pretentious. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a relaxed night out as it does for a special occasion.

The food is outstanding. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve, nothing felt rushed or generic. The drinks deserve their own shout-out too: well-crafted, balanced, and creative without being overdone.

What really sets 1933 apart, though, is the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there, which makes such a difference. We never felt forgotten, yet we were never rushed, perfect pacing.

If you’re in or around Marysville and looking for a place that delivers on atmosphere, food, drinks, and service, 1933 Bar + Kitchen is a must. We’ll absolutely be back!

My goodness, if you don’t stop in here for dinner and drinks you’ll regret it your whole life. This restaurant was, and I am not exaggerating when I say this, the best restaurant me and my partner have ever eaten at. The food was top notch, the drinks were exactly what they needed to be, the dessert was PHENOMENAL, and the service was perfect. The server/bartender Sophia was so gracious and throughout with taking my partners severe allergies into consideration. We cannot wait to come back!

Ok, let’s start with I made reservations online that were not needed for lunch. That’s ok because we were just being safe. But then we got there and the parking was horrible and muddy. Not paved and puddles and holes everywhere. Bad for your car. When we walked in it was very pretty inside. We were greeted and sat. We were given water right away. I order $16 expresso martini. It was ok. Also an appetizer $14 jalapeño popper dip. It was very good. $10 plate of fries we didn’t eat. $23 for the “WORST” Chicken Cobb salad I’ve ever had. I actually went in the bathroom and spit it out. The chicken was not grilled. I swear it was boiled. It had a horrible smell. Our server was nice and did a great job waiting on us. I didn’t complain about the salad I just didn’t eat it. We got a togo box for the appetizer. After we paid I inquired about how the chicken was cooked to another employee on the way out and she said they don’t even own a grill!? She said it’s made on a flat top. She said only chicken boiled is for something else and it would be shredded. Well maybe they accidentally put it in my salad. Y’all just look at it for yourself self and decide. When I do food reviews I do my best to make the pics beautiful. My over all thoughts about the place are that it’s over rated and over priced. It’s very pretty on the inside. But I would not ever recommend this place to anyone. That chicken got the best of me. You try it for yourself. Maybe your experience will be better than ours. $80 lunch and we didn’t eat $35 of it. It’s to bad bc we were really excited about going here. And yes y’all we tip our waitress well.

This afternoon felt like a scene straight out of Ratatouille—one of those rare meals where food, people, and emotion align so perfectly that you know you’ll remember it forever.

My fiancé and I chose this restaurant to celebrate our engagement, and from the moment we walked in, it felt like the universe quietly nodded and said, yes, this is the place. The warmth wasn’t just in the room—it was in the way we were treated, especially by Max, our waiter and bartender, who truly made the experience extraordinary. Max wasn’t just attentive; he was genuinely kind, endlessly energetic, and radiated a joy that made us feel instantly cared for. He checked in often without ever hovering, made us feel celebrated without being overbearing, and treated our special moment like it mattered just as much to him as it did to us. Service like that is rare—and unforgettable.

The drinks set the tone beautifully. My fiancé’s peach Bellini was bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced—she couldn’t stop smiling after the first sip. My Long Island was dangerously smooth, one of those drinks that reminds you why classics become classics when done right.

Then came the appetizers, and honestly… wow. The mozzarella with brown sugar was indulgent and comforting in the most surprising way—sweet, creamy, and absolutely addictive. The French onion soup felt like a warm hug in a bowl, rich and deeply flavorful, the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate it.

Dinner only raised the bar higher. The smash burger was everything it should be—juicy, flavorful, and unapologetically satisfying. The steak sandwich was equally incredible, tender and bold, every bite reminding us that this kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing.

By the end of the meal, we didn’t just feel full—we felt happy, taken care of, and incredibly grateful. This wasn’t just a restaurant visit; it was part of a milestone in our lives, and it will forever be tied to the joy of that day.

We will absolutely be coming back, without question. And when we do, we hope Max is there—because service like his doesn’t just elevate a meal, it turns it into a memory.

Amazing food and even better service. The smash burger is a must-try, but the chili and lettuce boats are great lighter options. A huge shoutout to the bartender for crafting a perfect egg wash martini—talk about going the extra mile!

We celebrated a very special occasion today and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and beautifully prepared — every dish exceeded our expectations.

The service was phenomenal. A huge thank you to Max, Sophie, and Kendal for making our day so special. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

Highly recommend this place for any special celebration. We will definitely be coming back! ✨

My wife and I came here for a late dinner on a Saturday night and had a wonderful experience. Great food, friendly staff and yummy drinks. The server apologized for a delay with our food, but really we didn’t think it took that long.

My husband and I have come to 1933 bar and kitchen at least 10 times since they have opened together and separately with friends. They have delicious food. I’ve tried something new food wise everytime I come and enjoyed every single thing I ate. I found a new favorite drink at the recommendation of our server/mixologist. Everyone there is so friendly and attentive whether they are assigned to your section. My favorite place to go for date night or girls night! Homemade desserts daily are amazing!! My favorite place in marysville.

The place is really cute, good vibes. Our server was super nice! The drinks were amazing! I had a smash burger (which was really good) but the fries were SO HARD, I could not even eat them. My husband got a burger as well and his tater tots were super hard as well. So we were a little bummed out about that.

This bar and kitchen has a great atmosphere, food and staff.
The location for years was another bar, but when you walked in you could tell the new owners had a new vision for their place. A bit more upscaled and family friendly. We visited on a weeknight and found a respectful number of individuals and a couple families present. Service was spot on, and our server was attentive to our needs.
They have a wide variety of options on their menu, including kid size dishes, soups and appetizers. I had their signature burger, which was juicy and well seasoned, the serving of fries was generous and hot. Other members had dishes including appetizers, including French onion soup, muscles. Or salad, burgers, steak or pasta. All servings were well presented and complemented on by those who ordered them.
As the designated driver I had iced tea, while other members of our party had drinks from beer to signature martinis or margaritas. Our evening was enjoyed by all and I will be returning to check out the lunch time venue.
