Upscale, globally influenced New American restaurant with a swanky 1920s speakeasy vibe.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday at 1920 Tavern last night and it was outstanding from start to finish.
For apps, we had the blistered shishito peppers and the fried green tomatoes. I’ll be honest, I’ve never liked fried green tomatoes, but these completely changed my mind. The herb goat cheese and roasted red pepper coulis took them to another level.
For entrées, we went with Mark’s Shrimp and Chicken Cajun Alfredo and the Parmesan Crusted Grouper. Both were absolutely delicious. The Alfredo was rich and flavorful with the perfect Cajun kick, and the grouper was cooked perfectly and paired great with the lemon cream sauce and sides.
What really stood out was the service. The staff was phenomenal, attentive without being overbearing and genuinely personable. Our waitress Ashley was fantastic and gave spot on recommendations.
Highly recommend if you are in the Roswell area.

First time visiting and my experience was excellent. Customer service was top notch and the restaurant was very clean. My server, Desiree, was very help, attentive, polite and professional. The food was very, very good. It was fresh, flavorful and was of high quality. The portions were just right. I had a light lunch but would like to return to try the many options available. I recommend trying this place out.

Excellent overall experience from beginning to end.
We popped in for an early dinner to beat the crowd so we didn’t need a reservation. Our server was excellent and I wish I remembered her name to give her credit. The owner stopped by to see how our dinner was as well. They also use food runners so you’re never waiting on the server if she gets too busy. All of these are signs of a great place.
They have a good-sized menu with lots of options no matter what you’re in the mood for. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we didn’t have a single issue with anything.

I found the roaring 20s supermodel for a cookbook. It’s the sesame-crusted tuna at 1920 Tavern in Roswell, GA! This is the kind of lunch spot that makes you accidentally spend four hours working while having a 3 course lunch ooopppps. The whole strip is adorable with restaurants, shops, and people like us living their best lives. We started with the crab dip obviously! That creamy goodness was almost unfair! I had the tavern salad with that model referenced above! I ate every single bite, zero regrets. Then, I had to be the fat kid that I am and order the fried cheesecake. I have no choice but to live this life.

A Roaring Good Time (and a Salad Worth Flying for!)
If you’re looking for a restaurant that’s got more style than a Prohibition-era flapper dress, look no further than 1920 Tavern. This place is not just a restaurant; it’s a whole vibe!
The atmosphere is so fun and inviting, it’s like you’re instantly transported to a speakeasy where the only secret is how they make their food so good. And speaking of good food, the Pear Salad was a complete showstopper. Every bite was an absolute delight—a perfect balance of flavors.
The real star of the show, though, was our waitress, Mirela. She was an absolute gem, friendly and attentive, making sure our time was nothing short of perfect. Great service can elevate a meal from good to unforgettable, and Mirela absolutely nailed it.
Next time you’re looking for a place to have a great time and a fantastic meal, skip the same old routine and head straight to 1920 Tavern. You won’t regret it!

Absolutely fantastically delicious food. We kept it simple with fish & chips. Never had chips quite like these – thinly sliced and seasoned. The coleslaw was perfectly balanced with notes of tangy & sweet. Superb service and nice atmosphere. Will dine again. 10/10 would recommend!

They have a very eclectic menu with small plates or entree’s. I had the gumbo and short rib small plate portion with 2 beers. The gumbo tasted great but lacked gumbo, shrimp and chicken, it was mainly grits and very little soup only got 3 shrimp with it and very little chicken with a lot of andouille. The short rib was supposed to have a teriyaki reduction but it was not teriyaki it was a sweet and sour asian chili sauce, which tasted good but was not what I was anticipating, the short rib was overcooked which not only tasted overcooked it had the texture as well. The sweet potato croquette barely tasted like a sweet potato and more like a fried hashbrown from a fast food joint. Was really disappointed in the tall dark haired server with the mustache and beard who was dropping F bombs left and right to the point everyone at the bar was looking over to see what’s going on. The bartender was phenomenal, her service was 5 stars, she made me feel like a regular, hard to come by good ones like that. Looking forward to trying other items from the menu and don’t think a single visit should set my opinion on 1920, I sat down around 8pm so giving the benefit of the doubt that the short rib had been sitting in a warmer for a bit. Hoping that the other items on the menu are actually what they say they are, will update after my next visit.

We came to this restaurant on a very busy day with no reservations, but since we got there an hour before the mad rush, they gave us a table quickly. Walter was our server and he was supported by Desiree…both were great! We ordered the fried calamari appetizer, a seafood gumbo, chicken and shrimp cajun pasta, sweet potato fries, and fish and chips. OMG, the food was spectacular! Great flavor and it came out super quick! In and out in less than an hour just in time for us to enjoy the local festivities. If you are in the area, you must try! Also…ask for Walter! He was just one cool guy and extremely hospitable!
