Every month our Lakeland Kiwanis Board meets here over lunch to conduct club business. Virginia is usually our server and she is great. The food is always fresh and delicious. The facility is clean and organized. The service usually comes out very quickly and accurately. Our group has been coming here for years. The meeting space is private and spacious. If you need a place to meet, I would recommend giving them a call

Unfortunately, our recent visit to 1916 was very disappointing. I had been here last year with my teammates and remembered a much better experience, so this was unexpected.
We had a party of six on a Sunday night—nothing too large or unmanageable. We made a reservation, but it turns out we didn’t even need one since the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. There were plenty of open tables, so it should have been a smooth evening.
Despite that, it took a long time for our order to be taken, and even longer for the food to come out. We had finished our waters and drinks well before our appetizers even arrived, and we barely saw our server the entire time. One of our meals didn’t come out at all, and we had to wait even longer for that—along with having to ask multiple times just to get our waters refilled.
The chicken Caesar salad was actually very good, but I also ordered the soup of the day (a tomato bisque), and no spoon was brought out with it—so I had to eat it with a fork. It might sound minor, but it really reflects the lack of attention to detail throughout the evening.
It was just really disappointing, especially considering how great the view is and how nice the space could be for a night out. The setting deserves better service and a more attentive experience.

Great experience this afternoon! My friend and I sat at the bar. Kayla was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. She gave great service and kept everything running smoothly. Definitely a big reason we’ll be back! Food was 10/10.

My friend and I came here a few days ago and the service was absolutely wonderful. The food was great as well. The portions are large. So my friend and I split a sandwich and fries and it was just enough for us for lunch.
My friend who is going to be 91 years old next month, golfed for over 65 years. She told me that she had golfed at this club quite a few times, so I thought since she can’t golf any longer, it would be nice to at least sit outside and watch the golfers. She really enjoyed it and it was fun because she was having such a nice time, and giving me some golf tips as well. :)Would definitely recommend.

Just off the golf course, a nice little pub. Good drinks and I really enjoyed the wings. Portion was large. I didn’t have a meal, but I enjoyed the drink and appetizer. Various tvs playing a variety of sports. My Bartenders, Julia and Peter were friendly and attentive.

I came here today to celebrate St. Patrick’s day. The place was beautiful and the ambiance perfect. We tried several dishes and all were delicious. Of course we had some Irish ☘️ drinks to have with the food. I definitely recommend this place. I will be back soon! Thanks!

Came in for lunch in a group of 7. Didn’t seem too busy, plenty of open tables. We were quickly seated and our orders were taken within five minutes. A couple of us ordered burgers, a couple fish and chips, and one flatbread pizza. It was about 45 minutes later that we got our food. The overall satisfaction level was good, but my burger and fries were lukewarm and the “medium” burger I ordered was “well done” and dry. I think it would have been great if the food was hot and cooked to order, but alas, it was not. This place is known for it’s slow kitchen service, so that part was expected. If I wasn’t extremely hungry and not wanting to get back to the PPA Pickleball tournament, I’d have sent that burger back.

I had a great experience at this time place as it was my first time in Lakeland and decided to check it I and my boyfriend searched and found it since he knows I am from the island he knew I will like it because it’s a Louisiana restaurant. The server was very nice and honest I like her reaction went above and beyond, I didn’t remember her name she was so sweet. I ordered me a salmon, but I wish I asked well done it didn’t cook well at all I brought it home to re-cook. Overall the service was nice.

Honestly the food was good, but I just couldn’t give more stars because the service ruined everything. There were 5 people at the bar when I walked in all of which had already eaten and we’re about to close out their tab. I was not greeted or asked if I wanted something to drink or a menu for at least 5 to 8 minutes. I let this slide in my mind because I saw they were doing shift change… However there were three staff members and a fourth ended up walking up from the kitchen, all of whom ignored me. When I did finally get a drink they went back to talking to each other and scrolling on their phones and I had to call out to even get their attention to order. It was obvious to me customer service is definitely not a value this establishment holds. Disappointed.
