We were returning from a trip up into Canada and after we crossed back into the US we were looking for a place to eat and our friend found this place in Anamoose ND. We were blown away! The server was very sweet and she recommended the Peach Bourbon Pig Wings which were delicious. It came with a very nice pasta salad on the side and a nice piece of garlic toast.
Before leaving the server suggested the caramel rolls which were made that same day. We picked up a 4 pack which our group of friends ate along with us. Very good way to finish off the meal. The restaurant is in a repurposed building from the early 1900’s and was formerly a bank. The chef shared some history on the place with us which was very interesting. At one time they printed money there and it is one of only 3 banks in the entire country that has 2 vault doors. The old photographs on the walls were awesome to look at and the nostalgia of seeing Anamoose and the bank from way back then was especially nice. We loved this place and can’t say enough good things about it. If you are anywhere near Anamoose ND this is a must see.

We stopped in last night as a family of five and the special was chicken and waffles. All I can say is amazing. The chicken and waffles came out with a blueberry sauce with mango salsa on top along with swiss cheese. All I can say is amazing. The kids all had burgers were perfectly cooked. No complaints Lindsay are waitress. Was just amazing. Everything came out hot. Timely atmosphere was great. What a wonderful way to get out of the weather. Don’t miss your chance to stop in and enjoy a great meal!!!

A true hidden gem, it blends small-town charm with an unexpected sense of character and class, as though it has been patiently waiting for weary travelers to wander in from the long road. the atmosphere offers refuge from the howling wind outside a cozy hideaway where time softens, conversation flows easily, and the road ahead feels less demanding. We were only passing through, yet the warmth of the space and the graciousness of the staff made it feel like a deliberate destination. Service was attentive and genuinely friendly, the kind that makes you slow down and settle in.
The food, however, is where the story truly deepens.
The Pierogy I ordered was clearly crafted with care tender, comforting, and rich with homestyle soul. Paired with a cup of borscht that was simply delicious, it warmed more than the body; it warmed the spirit, the kind of dish that reaches the cockles of the heart on a cold North Dakota winter day.

Great place to stop! Friendly staff, good food. Atmosphere – historical significance – it is on the corner in downtown at an old bank that has been remodeled and is beautiful, warm and welcoming. Staff told us they printed money there at one point around the early 1900s. The bar overlooks the original vault. Very enjoyable experience and food. The menu is broad from burgers to steaks and salads, with wine or beer to boot! Everything looked great. Would stop again if we are ever in the area, but Texas is an awful long trip to get here, so you should stop by instead!

Discovered this hidden gem the last week I was in North Dakota, and wish I had found it much sooner! Their steak was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy with excellent flavor. The service was friendly. Next time I’m through ND, I’ll make a special trip to come back here.

Went twice. First time was last Thursday, 4:30 p.m, sign up saying closed. So I called the next day and made a reservation for 7 people arriving at 11:30 a.m for lunch. We got there, No table reserved and could only order breakfast. Very poor service so we left. Will never recomend or go back. Bad experience both times.
