I had lunch here while visiting Washington. I had the pear salad which had fairly good ingredients with the exception of the deli chicken. If your going to put that on a salad then it should be noted in the description. Also the paper bowls and cheap plastic utensils caught me off guard. I didn’t expect any of that given the appearance of the facility or location. Multiple paper napkins left your facility that day to venture the gutters of Washington and will be in the harbor soon. Also while my old fashioned was good it had no cherries? Great location though and super atmosphere. My service was good as well.

I came in for lunch on Wednesday 12/10 and I must say I was very impressed. I’ve been in multiple times but this time the service was exceptional! I had a seat at the bar, the place was very very busy. I was welcomed by River (the name on my recipt so I’m only assuming the name.) right away, they let me know they would be with me as soon as possible as it was a little busy. I noticed they were running around the whole place helping everyone and still made it to me, got my order completed correctly and my drink never thought about being low. I’ve seen a lot of places short staffed before but the way she ran around and made it happen for everyone with a great personality about them and made it look effortless is rare. I even got my food really quickly, it was fresh, my order was correct and delicious. I was on time getting back from my lunch break. Any time Im in town for work Ill be sure to stop in!

This week (really, this whole month) has been a tough one mentally. Tonight, I needed a reset — a chance to step away from the “mess” and just breathe. So, Johnathan and I went to one of our favorite spots: 1906 Bistro.
He’s all about the brownies, I’m all about the sandwiches (honestly, the whole menu is fantastic) — and every single time we go, the experience is the same: kindness, consistency, and quality. That combination is rare in the restaurant industry, yet this team delivers it every time.
My husband is picky — he almost never leaves a restaurant saying, “That was ALL good.” But tonight, he did. That says everything.
I truly hope the owners know what an incredible staff they have. It’s rare to find a team that delivers 100% of the time, and that has been our consistent experience at 1906 Bistro.
Tonight, we laughed, we ate, we enjoyed dessert, and — for a little while — the weight of the world lifted. Joy was found.

The staff is so friendly and efficient . The playlist is also ! To top it off , the food hits the spot ! Try the bbq chicken flat bread , the chicken pesto ciabatta sandwich , and the Blueberry gin French 75! Thank you, 1906!

Travel 250 plus days a year, working on heavy industrial projects across our country. Therefore, great food is a big deal to me, this is a great place, amazing food, great friendly service and as a bourbon guy, a solid selection of bourbon. Also, friendly people. It was a light food experience for me, since I just popped in, I plan to go again soon and will have more to say. I highly recommend this place. Go for the food, go for the fun and go to be a part of something.

Great place to have lunch w/a friend. It isn’t loud inside. Very good service. The berry chicken salad was great. I got the cocktail, peaches & cream. It was delicious. Will definitely go back.

River was INCREDIBLE as our server. She does it all- she can talk Taylor Swift lore, and NFL stats. Her energy made the entire night. This bar was everything we were looking for and more. Not only did she make us feel so welcomed, she went above and beyond to deliver a personal experience. Next time you come to 1906, ask for River to ensure a great time

If you are in the area around Little Washington, NC, this place is certainly worth a visit. Service is great. Warm, friendly atmosphere, unhurried vibes, and an excellent collection of bourbon whiskies. We only ordered some appetizers and they were alright. The cocktails were great and although slightly on the expensive side, they were good!

Great drinks and bar service. Staffing was lacking but apparently that’s still a thing across the food service industry.
I would recommend a more elevated food experience. My charcuterie cup was lacking and not something I could recommend.
Hubs old fashioned was on point. Orange crush was fine if you don’t like the taste of alcohol. Not a ping just my account on the experience. I’m sure things will continue to progress here. Looks to be a great spot with a bright opportunity ahead. Wishing them great success and in the event we are in the area plan to return to experience the great triumphs to come.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at 1906 tonight. Luke, the bartender, took great care of us—he made me two delicious mocktails (a mule and a spritzer), which I really appreciated since I’m almost six months pregnant. My husband enjoyed a Kentucky mule and a few different beers on tap, and he had no complaints either! We also loved the nachos, Tony’s flatbread, and the chicken pesto ciabatta sandwich. Everything we tried was excellent, and 1906 definitely gets a five-star rating from us!
