1816 marks the year Indiana joined the United States as the 19th state in the Union. Known early on as the “Crossroads of America”, settlers were drawn to Indiana for the rich & fertile farmland enriching the state in culinary history. 19 Steak & Seafood pays tribute to the state’s remarkable cuisine with the best cuts of dry aged steak & seafood. Unique signature items, perfectly paired wines, and exceptional service make for a memorable dining experience.

The restaurant has a warm, upscale atmosphere. Our servers were friendly, but not super attentive. We had to wait on refills but our food was served quickly.
The complimentary soft bread was good but the “chips” cheapened the meal. We ordered the chop salad and Caesar salad and both were served warm. The Caesar salad was terrible. It had a strange after taste, but the flavor of the chop salad was ok.
The sear on the steaks were really good and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were so tasty; 2nd best I’ve ever had! The mac & cheese was bland. Tasted like too much cream was added, which took away any taste of cheese.
The chocolate cake was ok, but I don’t believe it is made in house. It’s reminiscent of a Malones chocolate cake. We were also served with a complimentary dessert which was a tempered chocolate cup filled with whipped cream topped with chocolate and strawberry sauce. It was pretty but not appetizing for us to eat a cup of whipped cream.
Overall we enjoyed checking this restaurant off our list but will not return (we drove over 2 hours just to try this restaurant)

3 days a week, they have an early bird special with 3 courses for $50. My main issue with the entire meal was that everything was too salty starting with the otherwise very nice bread service. The olive oil is served in a bowl which is too deep so you can’t incorporate the vinegar. It should be on a shallow flat dish or skipped. You get to pick from all 3 salads, the wedge lettuce was very crisp and cold and it was loaded with bacon and blue cheese. The filet was super tender and prepared to the right degree, but the salt was a real distraction. Don’t get me wrong, I know salt is important to season food but someone can always add more at the table. Service was friendly and accommodating, but not well paced. Entree came out before salad finished.
Decor perfectly fine.

We decided to try the early bird special on a Thursday night. $50 a person, you get a 6 oz filet, salad, and your choice of a side. The steak was cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes and mac n cheese were excellent (sides were big enough to share). Service was great. Our server was Justin and he made sure we had everything we needed and even brought out a dessert for my birthday.

We celebrated with the 50th Anniversary Special at 19 Steakhouse, and it absolutely delivered! The filet was perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and clearly seasoned by someone who knows their way around a grill. It came with a crisp, fresh salad and a choice of side, which in our case included the biggest baked potato I’ve ever seen in my life. Seriously, this thing needed its own ZIP code.
But the surprise standout? The Brussels sprouts. I’m not exaggerating when I say they were the best I’ve ever had—crispy, caramelized, and bursting with flavor. Whoever’s running the kitchen back there deserves a standing ovation.
Great service, relaxing atmosphere, and a meal worth every bite. Highly recommend if you’re headed to Belterra.

An exquisite meal in small-town Indiana! Outstanding food, impeccable service, and a top-class, romantic atmosphere! Very nice bread and butter to start, and then the pork belly is the best we’ve ever had, wonderfully flavorful and rendered with the perfect ratio of meat and fat, an absolute must-try! French onion soup was very good as well, and house salad looks a little dull, but then is surprisingly amazingly seasoned and delicious! Very nice crab cakes and remoulade, and outstanding sauce on the beef bourguignon. Didn’t get a pic, but bone-in filet mignon special was fantastic, perfectly prepared in every way. Cinnamon roll bread pudding was a perfect punctuation to the meal! Probably can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, kitchen clearly knows what they are doing.

Food was delicious and hot, atmosphere felt comfortable, and service was impeccable. We took advantage of the dinner for two special, and they threw in a dessert for our anniversary. It was definitely a splurge meal, but well worth it.

This was our first visit. The food was fabulous! I got the filet and it had amazing flavor & super tender. Michael was our server and Natasha was our server assistant. Michael went above and beyond! We don’t drink and he went and found an NA beer for my husband. He was knowledgeable about gluten sensitivity as well as anything else we asked a question about. Natasha was on point with keeping water full and clearing unused plates! A wonderful experience! Not only will we be back but we are requesting Michael as our server next time as well!

We love Belterra and the food at 19! The steaks will literally melt in your mouth. The filet (pictured here) is so tender you won’t need a knife. Very very lean. Actually a little too lean for me. I will be getting the NY Strip from now on, which is what I had gotten before but I just had to try the filet. The entrees are served a la cart and the sides are big enough to share. The baked potatoes are about a pound each. The house salads are so good!!! Simple, but so good. Lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and ranch.
Everything at 19 is always fresh. Most everything is made in house and a lot of things come from their garden on property or are sourced locally.
