If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience in downtown Dahlonega, 19 Degrees North Seafood Grill is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by extremely friendly greeters, which immediately set the tone for a great experience. The service throughout our visit was excellent—attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The ambiance was relaxed with great energy, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal.

The food was outstanding. I ordered the crab cake, and it was absolutely delicious—loaded with crab and hardly any filler, which really let the flavor shine. The fries were amazing as well: crispy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. My wife had the jerk chicken sandwich and was highly impressed; it was flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented.

Danny, the owner, was very personable and made a point to ensure we were well taken care of, which added a personal touch to the experience. We also noticed a high level of attention to detail while providing excellent service to all guests, not just our table—something that truly sets this restaurant apart.

An added bonus: if you’re seated in the upstairs enclosed patio area, you’re treated to a phenomenal view of the downtown square, which really enhances the overall dining experience.

Overall, I would give five stars for hospitality, food presentation, taste, and value. If you’re ever in downtown Dahlonega, 19 Degrees North Seafood Grill is a place you absolutely need to visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It is so good that I am writing my first review while eating. I got the fish and chips and scallops to spilt, both are absolutely amazing. Fish and chips cooked perfectly, the batter was so crispy, and the homage tartar sauce was perfect. The scallops were in an amazing cream sauce that was baked, great homemade mashed potatoes, and the glaze on the brussels sprouts was soooo good. Amazing seafood restaurant and will definitely be back.

Congratulations on your 98 GDPH inspection. What a difference the new owner has made in this establishment.
The food we received was well prepared, proper temperature, and professionally plated. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. The establishment is well maintained for a vintage courthouse square structure. The restroom was well maintained with foaming soap dispenser and paper hand towels. Lunch at its best in the NGA Mountains.

We ate outside on the porch since the weather was so pleasant. What a wonderful memorable dining experience. We will be back soon to try the variety of fare on a menu and food so well prepared.
Thank you,

Great drinks at the bar. A real bartender which is really been lacking over the past few years in Dahlonega. Newer owners so a much better experience. Previous owners had really turned off alot of locals. Time to give them another shot.

Food was incredible! We got the Thai coconut mussels as a starter which was so yummy and the sauce was so delicious we kept the remaining sauce to dip our fries in!

My husband got the crab cake sandwich and I did the Shrimp and pork belly carbonara and if it weren’t so filling I would have eaten the entire thing right then and there.

We did wait a little long for the food, but the owner and our waiter explained that the kitchen was somewhat short staffed and made sure we were comfortable.

We will definitely be back when we venture to Dahlonega again! Hopefully sooner than later

I can’t say enough about my experience here. We went for my daughter’s birthday. The food was delicious! We sat on the patio area and met a couple sitting out there. It was like we had been going there for years! Great atmosphere!

Amazing place and service!!! The food was phenomenal and we had an awesome time! Located in the square perfect to view the lights and activities for the holidays. I had the wagyu sliders and clam chowder which were absolutely top notch! My sister had shrimp and grits that were the best I have ever had . The fish and chips were very tender with the right amount of batter ! Next time we come back we are going to make this a regular stop on our trip. The Coquilles St Jaques was full of scallops and amazing its a must try. The food was so good that we shared food and got a true sampling of how great the other offerings were. Make sure you make a reservation or you will be in for a wait ! We did and got right in at 5pm. Great job by the whole staff that made our meal great

The “and Grill” in the name should not be overlooked!

My Pork Tomahawk chop sat on a bed of creamy blue cheese laced grits and tender collard greens which had been cooked with ham. The chop was smothered with a chunky sauce that reminded me of caponata. Overall, the preparation was perfect.

The “apple pie” cider I paired it with was a stroke of (my) genius.

My wife had the grilled haddock with hush puppies and green beans. Another winner.

We also ordered a side of truffle fries. Hot and crisp with truffle dust and a generous coating of Parmesan cheese. Admittedly an excessive indulgence but they will revive in the air fryer!

The server was working flat out but was professional, friendly and committed to making our visit a pleasure.

One visit was all it took—19 North is now officially on my “must-visit” list whenever I’m in Dahlonega. The food was outstanding, but what truly set the experience apart was Dan, the owner. His hospitality was top-notch from start to finish. He crafted some incredible cocktails, checked on us regularly, and made sure every detail of our visit was just right.

We started with the raw oysters and calamari, and the banana pepper rings added a perfect pop of flavor. For our entrée, we shared the seafood platter featuring haddock, blackened scallops, and shrimp—each bite was delicious.

To top it all off, Dan personally walked us out as we were leaving. This is the kind of customer service every restaurant should strive for. Can’t wait to return!
