19 GOLD Taiwanese Restaurant

19 GOLD is Taiwanese Restaurant serving authentic MalaTang, Bubble Tea, Braised Duck, Taiwan Beer, Street Eats, Rice and Noodle in Seattle. We started as a online caterer in 2016, serving Taiwanese MALATANG and Bubble Tea. It quickly gained popularity within the Asian community. The owner, who was originally from Taiwan recreated the MALATANG from her hometown Taichung and bring the original flavor to Seattle. The name 19 GOLD comes from the MALATANG broth, which consists of 19 different spices. From a small online caterer, 19 GOLD quickly doubled in revenue in just 8 months. With the encouragement of its beloved customer, the owner decides to open its first location at Fremont to share its delicacy to the public.

Cozy place dishing up customized Malatang soup bowls, Taiwanese-style braised dishes & noodles.

Transparently, I came in for something light, such as milk tea. I ordered their rose and Japanese twice-roasted tea, which were both excellent. I enjoyed having the capacity to order them at low sugar and enjoy the natural taste of the tea. I ordered boba with my tea, which they must have forgotten, but despite the mistake, they offered my dogs water which I greatly appreciated. As a lover of Asian food, I look forward to returning for a mouthwatering experience.

Ordered the Minced Pork over Dry Noodle and their signature 19 GOLD ‘Finger-Lickin’ Chicken Wings, which were decently tasting. Table service was really fast overall, and the interior of the restaurant has good vibes. Highly recommended to try.

The food here is authentically Taiwanese and remarkably delicious. I specifically recommend their braised pork dishes as well as malatang. We were surprised at how quickly food was delivered as well as the outgoingness of service. Wait time was around 15 minutes on a Sunday evening, so not bad for such a great restaurant.

Love the homey Taiwanese feel of this restaurant. We ordered a bit more than expected but with two different parties ordering online, I’m surprised there’s no way to confirm overall table order. The star was knocked off for the technology. If it was a one check table, the tech works well but slightly complicated to split bill.

service is good! food is okay. not bad food but nothing really impressive other than the Beef Noodle! I think that one is killing! We surprisingly enjoy the pancake and the fries and popcorn chicken. I saw someone complained about how oily that pancake is. Well, it’s not really fair for the store as that is how that Pancake suppose to be bro. Lmao. It’s good pancake. Chinese style can be oily sometime :p unhealthy but delicious! I won’t come again on purpose but if I drop by and craving for some food then it’s not a bad choice. Don’t order the minced pork on the sprouts tho… not a good match I guess.

Our order was all messed up. I ordered Surf and Turf Malatang which was supposed to be a soupy dish. Upon delivery, the dish was dry because the soup with it spilled and the soup container was nowhere to be found. The soup container was, I guess, tossed by the delivery person, and the soup spilled all over the plastic bag containing the order. Naturally, the soup spilled into the rest of our order — fish cake and the red bean pancakes. All were soggy and wet. Not a pleasant way to eat.

A lot of options on the menu. I liked the meat sauce rice. However I didn’t feel very good afterwards – usually happens when the food is not cooked with fresh oil. The super rich broth was very salty and too rich. The milk tea was very good.

Friendly staff, clean environment and quick service. Food was great. Sliced pork belly was a generous portion. Wings were crispy on outside and tender on inside.
