We went here for a birthday party and they gave us free donuts that were amazing. If you are new to hot pot, this is the place to go They have so many options that you have to come multiple times to at least try everything. Food is so reasonably priced. It feels like it’s expensive but it’s really not after you put a good amount of food on there. Average with putting more food than we should have was like $25-$30, which is the normal price for a regular meal and we took home leftovers for a whole second meal. Soup is delicious. The staff is honest when they’re like do you really want to be spicy because basic and spicy are a whole other level! It’s an all you can eat buffet style, where you can actually see the ingredients before you put it on your plate. And they are honestly so fast with food it was shocking. It took me more time to pick out what I wanted then I did for them to cook it. And to be honest, they cook the broccoli And potato to perfection. I wish they sold the broth because the tomato would be perfect for grilled cheeses. This is definitely 100% someplace that we will come back to multiple times. The price, the environment and the amazing staff are what restaurants dream to be.
Sidenote, it was also really awesome that they had recipes to make fancy dipping sauces that you can control your own portion amount to make it what you want.
(When we go out as a family of six, we expect to spend $300 but we got appetizers, Fancy drinks ,meals and dessert for 170 bucks after tip) It was so much fun and worth it even if it was overpriced which it was NOT!)

Arrived as soon as they opened. Greeted and sat promptly with an explanation of the process. Interior was well lit and comfortable. Grabbed a tray and tongs, the tray had two compartments so I placed veggies in one and meats in the other. Nice assortment of options although no blood, intestines, tripe, or tendon. Employee accidentally dropped my tray and the manager handled it smoothly. Opted for the original broth while hubby got the super rich. Both were good, I added prickly ash oil to give mine more ma. Also tried their popcorn chicken which had a good crunch and seasoning.

Overall, the experience was good. The price per pound ($14.99) was reasonable, the soup had a rich flavor, and the sauce bar was well maintained.
The only issue was the service — staff didn’t check the tables regularly. We had no napkins and had to grab some from another table because no one came by to check on us.
This restaurant is mostly self-serve unless you order rice dishes. The high tip percentage options were unnecessary.

We discovered 19 GOLD Malatang Bothell a few months ago and were pleasantly surprised by the pleasant atmosphere, great service and excellent hot pot choices. Level 2 spiciness was a bit too hot for us, but the broth was tasty. We especially loved the dipping sauce ingredients to customize the eating experience.
On our next visit, we tried other broths and fillings along with a couple special drinks. We were happy with our choices and loved the flexibility for each person to select ingredients that suit their personal taste. I’m thrilled with the many vegetables offered along with many protein options.
Pricing is a good value and you leave feeling very satisfied and full. Next time we are planning to try to side dishes. Overall this is a family-friendly restaurant. I’m glad to have 19 GOLD nearby and we will visit again!

I’m so glad this place opened. It was delicious hotpot and I always love build your own places. The staff here was INSANELY helpful in getting us what we needed and walking us through the process. I will say that the broth here is maybe not as heavily spiced as some other hotpot places in the PNW, but I preferred it that way and thought it was delicious. I strongly suggest the rich malatang broth!

Really sad and unsatisfying malatang. The broth is very watered down. I got super rich malatang broth with spice level of spicy but the spicy was mild at best. Also, the food is so undercooked and overcooked at the same time. The potatoes and kabocha all had a bite to it and were only halfway cooked but then the noodles were overcooked. YGF is way better in ingredients and broth flavor. Service is nice though.

Our family came here last time and really enjoyed the food and the way things are ordered (pick whatever you like to be included in the Malatang), so you get to pick your favorite foods. We returned again today just because we liked it so much last time. You won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend.

Food tasted great. Portion is a bit small (given the price), not sure if it’s just because we ordered takeout, because from the menu, the dine-in prices seem more reasonable. Will definitely give that a try next time.

The chicken and smoothie were average. The hotpot was slightly above average. They cooked it so fast like it was fast food. My spouse and I felt a little sick afterwards.

I had an amazing experience. The malatang was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly spicy. The ingredients were high quality with plenty of variety, and everything tasted delicious. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Definitely one of the best spots for authentic malatang — I’ll be coming back for sure!
