Was so excited to go here for my birthday dinner and first time. Ambiance is nice and welcoming, modern with an edgy Mexican vibe. Lady that checked us in was pleasant and welcoming. Server Daisy was nice and provided good recommendations. Loved the frozen Mango nada! Queso fundito was ok, good but could be better. Surf and turf burrito was great. Loved the complexity in the sauces. Crispy fish tacos were delicious. Traditional style tacos were solid, rice and beans lacked flavor. Only downfalls were the bar staff was to casual; on phones, eating bag of chips behind bar, chatting instead of keeping busy. I know it was slow, but find something to do when you’re guest facing? Was also bummed that the server didn’t do anything for my birthday.. no complimentary dessert and song or even a happy birthday from the server.. which was a disappointment on my birthday. I put it in the notes on reservation but must have got overlooked.. Overall good experience but wouldn’t go there for a celebration again.

If you’re looking for delicious, flavorful Mexican food, 1882 Cantina at Pechanga is the place to go. My husband and I have eaten lunch here at least ten times, and we’ve also tried the Sunday Brunch — every visit has been outstanding.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a comfortable, upscale feel that still feels relaxed. The service is consistently excellent — friendly, attentive, and never rushed. You can tell the food is prepared by a real chef because the flavors truly pop in every bite.
The tacos, enchiladas, chicken tortilla soup, and especially the battered fish tacos are all fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The salsas and sauces taste homemade, and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted.
We’ve made this our go-to spot for a satisfying meal and a great experience every time. Highly recommend 1882 Cantina — it’s easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Temecula area!

Lately when my husband and I spent the night at Pechanga Casino.1882 Cantina has become my favorite place for brunch.We haven’t try dinner yet but we will.
Food : Quality was good.We had taquitos,tacos and nachos.They are all good.Fresh tortilla chips with salsa as a starter never disappointed as well.
Service : They are nice,Polite and take good care of us,So no complain.
Vibe : It’s like modern cantina and it’s pretty open to the casino and we love that.
Are we coming back to this place? Absolutely yes!

Took my wife for her bday to go gamble. We got hungry and decided to try 1882. There was no wait and we got seated right away. Chips and salsa were brought out quickly. For about 15 minutes nobody stopped by to take our food or drink order. I tore into the chips and salsa like a hungry hippo until discovering a long blonde hair in the salsa. We decided to leave at that point. There was a group of employees congregating at entrance. I told who I assumed was the manager about the hair. He explained it was likely from the chili they use and not a hair; coincidentally, the server who brought the salsa had long blonde hair. Truly disappointing that he tried to argue the situation versus just apologize. I didn’t even have a chance to explain we were leaving because nobody came by our table to take our order. Terrible service, would not recommend.

This Mexican restaurant is locate inside of the Pechanga hotel. It has a very dimly lit ambience and is perfect for a casual dining or even a date night out. I had a wonderful experience with Arian, our waitress! She was so lovely that it made dining there such a great experience. We ordered the watermelon salad that is now out of season, but was really good. Maybe request the dressing on the side as it was doused in balsamic. We got the shrimp cocktail, I wish it had more of the jumbo cocktails, but it was filled with lots of smaller shrimp! For those that like the juice a little bit more on the citrusy side, you can definitely ask for more lime. Then we had the chicken enchiladas (2 large shareable pieces) and requested that it was covered in half red half green sauce! Overall the service and food was really good and I will definitely come back!!

The food looked delish but was just ok. The server was average at best, she seem to be irritated. Maybe just a bad day. I asked if I could get shredded chicken instead of grilled chicken in my burrito. She had to go back and ask the “chef” My burrito came lukewarm and was about 10% chicken. If they didn’t want to put the shredded chicken in they should’ve said so. We probably won’t be coming back

Based on the reviews we didn’t go in with expectations. Our waitress was very friendly. My husband got the surf and turf burrito and I got the cheese enchiladas. He said the burrito wasn’t bad. The red enchilada sauce was a little spicy, but ok. The rice was ok as well.
The margaritas were flavorful, but weak.
All in all, it was average, but VERY convenient.
