A Manhattan made with bourbon. I should have specified cheap whiskey. My fault. French onion soup, a favorite, was underwhelming and overpriced. No gureye cheese, a must for this soup. Weak broth, too much salt. Hamburger was cooked medium rare and very good with American cheese. French fries were good, cole slaw average, pickle was dill. cheesecake with pears was o.k. , but I would not order again. I also ate at the buffet while on a bicycle trip . A sandwich bar for dinner? The next night at the buffet, roast beef was very good. For buffet breakfast, I swear the scrambled eggs were made with salt water! Potatoes were very salty. No bacon or sausage? Pastry tasted stale. Coffee was self serve. Bar mistress was at 1863 bar was friendly with outstanding service!

Located in the Wyndham hotel, dined there during a recent business meeting. Ate in the restaurant twice, once for dinner & once for breakfast. Both times they seemed very understaffed which resulted in slow & mediocre service. The staff were pleasant though. Average pricing, nice inviting atmosphere. I had the fish tacos which were delicious! Received mixed reviews from others in our party on their food…some liked, but others complained of burnt hamburger, overdone steak, etc.

The food is not good. The atmosphere is nice, the service is fine, and the drinks are generous. Unless you are staying at the hotel and don’t have options, do not eat here.

All the food seemed to be precooked, frozen food. The calamari, which the waitress recommended, was gross and we did not eat finish it. The burger meat and chicken were dry and under flavored. Fries were pretty good.

We were here off season, so that may impact the quality we experienced.

The food was good and hot. I ordered the fish tacos. The Mahi Mahi in the tacos were deep fried, which surprised me, but they were still good. The fries were crispy and hot and the Apple Sangria was really good.

My son had a hamburger with fries and he enjoyed it. He also especially enjoyed the chocolate mousse cake.

Over all an enjoyable experience.

The only real restaurant we found! Gettysburg has lots of restaurants, all geared to tourists and fast food and/or fried food. This was a real restaurant with table clothes, good and healthy options, bread with the meal, and our waitress (wish I could remember her name, a lovely woman! with short hair with highlighted tips). It is in a hotel, but doesn’t feel like it at all. Made me feel good to have a non rushed sit down dinner with excellent food!

Stopped here at 1pm, had the place to ourselves! Very elegant carefully plated dishes. Atmosphere is still very casual. Crab lunch entree cake was great. We loved the solitude but they deserve more traffic from non-hotel patrons. Service was so polite.

Atmosphere was severely lacking when spending over $30 a person. Waitstaff was talking loudly at front of entry, cussing and someone kept coughing over and over, and not covering her mouth. My husband’s steak came out almost medium well when he asked for medium rare. No one asked if it was to our liking. The only time my water was filled was when I asked for more water. Our drinks we ordered were marginal. Overall, I would not recommend unless it is just that there was no manager on duty at 8:30pm, and maybe better during the day.

Gettysburg was our last stop on our 2 week summer road trip. We’ve eaten at restaurants with 5 star reviews on our trip but honestly the food we ordered and took back to our room from here was some of the best. The burger was thick and cooked perfectly! Fish tacos great flavor and my son loved his wings. Wait staff was very helpful and packed my to-go great with all the fixings.
