As a former student here for four years, I feel like they’ve raised the price by about 10 cents every month for a single drink. As of today, a grande latte at this coffee shop might even be more expensive than one at Starbucks. That said, I wouldn’t complain if the price matched the quality…but instead, 80-90% of the latte is just milk. If you order a flavored latte, it’s often even worse, because they add so much syrup that the coffee ends up sweet like sugar water. I ordered a 24-ounce latte at 10 p.m., and by midnight I was already knocked out asleep, as if there were no caffeine in it at all. On top of that, if you want to switch to oat milk here, they charge extra (I don’t remember exactly-around 75 cents, I think). Honestly, it’s best to just get the drink called Lotus Energy or the overly sweet blended drinks instead.

I feel like I won the lottery in randomly choosing this petite and wonderful little gem. This was our favorite spot to grab a Latte on our whole trip, and we stopped at a lot, and I mean a loooot of coffee shops, cafes, and espresso bars.
The Barista hopped to as soon as he saw us walking up, and was a friendly super dude!! We had our Lattes within minutes, and couldn’t believe how beautiful the area is.
I seriously am in love with how great this little spot is. 11/10 hands down. If I am ever within the area, I’ll be back, what a wonderful experience. Thank you.

Let me just describe to you how perfect my experience at this petite coffee shop was. So, I walked into the library feigning for some hot coffee ☕️ (although I am usually a cold brew type of fellow) I enter 1832 Brew (just “The Brew” to those on campus) and order nothing more than a small, 12 Oz, drip brew coffee (Dark roast BTW). LET ME TELL YOU! This cup of coffee was done and paid for in less than 30 seconds! The speed at which this man worked was incredible (Byron I believe it was) Along with this there was the COMPLEMENTRY COFFEE BEAN WITH THE COFFEE!!! I mean it’s 8:00 AM out here and this man is giving me the works! Outstanding! Other than that I have to say the atmosphere around The Brew is extremely cozy, the chalkboards are always a good pick me up & provide wonderful aesthetic quality to this small coffee shop. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, this place is tucked inside of Wabash College’s Lilly Library. This is a perfect place for a coffee shop since you can get really tired in the library studying and reading old books . I highly recommend inviting friends to the Brew, no real reason just an idea .

I am a student at Wabash College and this place is what helps make finals bearable. Nice workers and the best coffee in Indiana.

Byron is the best! Good person to share a conversation with if the location is not inundated with caffeine-deprived, somnolent patrons
