1811 is my new favorite bar. The area is exclusive with a small footprint that allows for great service and delicious hand-made cocktails. The drinks are expensive but they are worth the price. I highly recommend the homemade limoncello and lemon drop, and my husband said The Godfather was one of the best drinks he’s ever had. Support a local man with a wonderful bar and go shopping for some of the best products you can find in the shop! Highly recommend!

Aaron went above and beyond by making me an off-the-menu drink he calls the “Yah Ba Dabba Doo,” and it was absolutely stellar. Perfect balance of flavors, creative presentation, and you could tell he put real thought into it. Not only was the drink unique, but Aaron’s enthusiasm and skill made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for something memorable, let him surprise you—you won’t be disappointed.

This is the only place for miles that serves speakeasy type drinks with an intimate atmosphere. Have a favorite spirit? They have at least six drinks for that and probably could come up with more. Don’t worry they have the old standbys too. Specialty drinks land about $15 to $16 which in my opinion is pretty normal and for the experience that you get for those drinks that you can’t quite get anywhere else. If you don’t know what drink you would like they are more than happy to give you plenty of suggestions and are very willing to help.
One of the annoying things for me though would have been the defined areas between the bar and the shop that’s up front that you have to pass through to get to the bar. Once we sat down the light from the shop was just ruining the vibe of the bar area. They have split curtains that they could have drawn at any time but for some reason decided not to. The intimate type seating was rather limited as I would think it would be a very nice date spot to just snuggle up with the one you love instead of sitting right across from them or in tight seating.
I can’t speak much for the food except for the experience I had when I ordered the $15 small plate where I was served a piece of block cheese that was cut in half long ways, 8 crackers of two varieties, five large grapes, and a vessel of 2 oz of bar mix. Peeps… I can buy a large pizza down the street with a couple of toppings for $15. I will pass on the food next time unless this was intentional to give off some post-prohibition, Great Depression vibes. Ma and Pa Joad dressed mannequins at the entrance would have been fair warning.

What a delightful find! We found 1811 by accident, noticing it as we drove past it. We went in and thoroughly enjoyed the shop, then we stepped into the bar room in back. Rachel was so much fun — very welcoming, funny, and a blast to share stories with!

Very limited food, but large and interesting cocktail and mocktail menu. Drinks are beautifully presented, delicious, and the service is excellent. Loved the ambience as well. Stop in – you won’t be disappointed.

Best place in Brecksville!! We love coming here for date night. It’s quaint and cozy with the best drinks. They put so much thought and time into each cocktail and are so delicious. Staff is wonderful and really care about their customers

Michael and his wife are onto something here…the senses are awakened as you pass through the specialty store with expertly displays of a variety of goods…but the magic is in the Bar Room at the back. craft cocktails expertly prepared…from the scrumptious black Manhattan, pomegranate martini, and yes, an Irish Coffee. Definitely a cool vibe, not a speak-easy but a space meant to create conversation and good times. Going back? 100% going back.
