We’ve been going every Saturday for over a year now and we love their very delicious rib eye steak dinner with baked potato and salad. Everything we have ordered has always been awesome. The Chef is excellent, the staff is sincerely accommodating, and you can have a drink from the bar ! Best place to eat in Beautiful Doniphan! go check’m out !

I love 1808 Public House. It’s great that I live only 4 blocks away lol. Easy parking right out front. Always friendly greetings. Comfortable atmosphere. A bar area with seating in the back of the building. They even have a smoking porch. Food is always delicious.

I just learned about this place recently, and since we were in the neighborhood, we decided to stop by.
We started with the gravel bar dip.. think of it as hillbilly queso dip. Basically, white cheese queso dip with black beans and burger. Yes, I realize that was redundant….
I had the fried shrimp with sweet chili sauce. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The batter was different than what you would typically get in a fried shrimp dish. It’s more akin to an egg & flour batter, similar to fried chicken, and it was perfectly paired to hold up to the sweet chili sauce. The chili sauce wasn’t overly sweet, and it had just enough heat to be interesting without overpowering the flavor. The portion size is quite large, as are the shrimp. These aren’t the anemic little restaurant shrimp you’re used to. These shrimp were large and delicious. I highly recommend this dish.
My wife enjoyed her club sandwich, and while I didn’t try it, it looked really good.
I heard no complaints out of my 19yo son while he was eating. He had a fried chicken sandwich.
The atmosphere is relaxed and it wasn’t busy. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon, probably not peak time, lol.
The service was quite good and our food came quickly. Our glasses were kept filled, and our waiter was attentive without being annoying, and he was VERY polite.
I’d like to see this place operating at its peak times. I think if you wanted to get out and have some fun on a weekend evening, this might be the place to go. I didn’t spend much time in the bar, but it looks like it had everything one would need to have a good time.

This place was trash. To begin they had 4 different waitresses take our order and somehow they still messed up everyones order. And when the waitress came to the table to apologize she told us she wasnt even on the clock and thats why our food was messed up cause that makes alot of sense right? I asked for no tomatoes and they took my food to the back and pulled them off and brought the sandwich back out and still had tomatoe juices on the breadThen gave us our bill and we got charged 20 dollars for there being six of us eating and told us its standard when that many people come in to eat which they never told us that to begin with it so we had to pay for the food that we didnt order and forced gratuity on both parties that was there for dinner. Needless to say they didnt get a tip. This place is a joke and dont recommend

We were passing through on our way home from Gulf Shores Alabama family vacation. We googled for a place to eat and this place popped up. We took our chances and glad we did. The food was amazing. Our waitress was super sweet, we never had to ask for drink refills and was helpful with what to order. My husband even commented that this was the best meal we had our entire trip. That’s a huge compliment since we had just left from eating some amazing seafood. The only thing I would add is that the kids menu is maybe lacking a little. 1 chicken strip isn’t enough for $6.99. Our kids eat off kids menus everywhere we go but we had to order off the adult menu since 1 strip would not have been enough. That’s the first time I’ve seen a kids chicken strip meal with just one tender. But it was good and we will go back if we ever go back that direction.

Such a nice breath of fresh air modern dining with a upscale POV. This was our first time at their brick and mortar restaurant, but had enjoyed their food at a local festival a few time and were blown away. By far the best and unique selection at any festival around. Today we got to try the Sunday brunch buffet, the fried chicken was so good. Definitely looking forward to trying again with some others dishes off the menu.

Always a great time at 1808, wait staff is always friendly and prompt! Very clean and the food is delicious. Best Steaks around and I love how they have a lunch special just about every day. Makes for a quick easy and stress free lunch for those of us in a time pinch! 10/10 Would definitely recommend
