The best feature is the fire pit in the dog-friendly outdoor seating area. As a local, this restaurant fills a niche, for when we want a good burger and fries and want to take our fur baby with us. Not all the food is great, I love the coconut shrimp with sweet potato fries and my husband always orders the jalapeño burger with onion rings. It’s very causal with large portions and a few good beers on tap.

We eat here regularly. The burgers were good and I especially liked the BBQ Beef wrap. Their salads were good as well. It will be sad to see them go! 17th Street Grill has been our “go-to” place for lunch. Hope they find another place to set up shop!

The food was not horrible, however the prices are way out of line for the quality and the service. This is a walk up to the counter and place your order, they give you a number and drop your food off, which is served on paper plates and you are given plastic forks and spoons…..I am okay with that as long as I am saving money. However we ordered two fish taco plates and one beer and the bill was $32.00. There were literally three shrimp on my taco ??? For $16.00 a person you can get much better, food, service and eat off of real dishes at other restaurants….sorry to say I won’t be back.

I agree with the previous reviewers who panned this place. I, too, only wanted to review it because I was disappointed. We’re locals so we know where to get better fare, but happened to be in the vicinity & wanted something easy. The place has lots of potential. I just don’t know how you serve a burger in which the garnish is the best part. And it takes a lot to make me want to send a salad back.

This is a cool stop for lunch. On a cooler day it’s nice to eat by the fire pit. They make great burgers and wraps. I will say it’s a bit over priced for what you get, but the experience over all is good.

The only reason to review this place is to share that it is slightly less than ordinary. Prices are typical Monterey/Pacific Grove: $10 for anything because it’s made with frozen seafood. Crabcakes were soggy with oil. Calamari had no tentacles, tasted like batter, and came with no dipping sauce. French fries were standard Denny’s-type fare. Beers were good. Melted-and-refrozen (and misshapen) Popsicle-brand popsicles from the cooler were $2 each. Disappointing.

It was no balls and two strikes and we were down to our last out. My wife and I were camping at Limeklin Campground in Big Sur and decided to make the hour and a half trip to Monterrey to see the oldest operating light house on the West Coast at Los Pinos. We ventured into the quaint town of Pacific Grove. It is surrounded by old Victorian houses and the downtown district is shopping in the restored buildings and boutiques.

Great mom and pop burger shack. BLT is great and the pineapple burger is outstanding. Get here early or mid week as lines get long.

The food was tasty and I was not expecting the portions to be as big as they were. Their wraps are more like burritos. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying a salad.

It’s a hole in the wall type place with great food for good prices. You are getting for what you pay for which is about 10 bucks. a go to place for freinds I wanna just go grab lunch with on a Saturday.
