I had such a great experience thanks to our server Corell! He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The food came out perfectly, and he checked in at all the right times. Professional, efficient, and genuinely kind, exactly what great service should look like. I would definitely come back and ask for him again! The frozen lemon drop and the food was amazing!

We came to Milwaukee from Chicago on a Thursday night to see Nate Jackson! We wanted some good grub so we did a quick google search and pondered on the car! The name caught us first then the menu! We pull up greeted by Ciara! Very sweet, patient and helpful. We ordered drinks (Hennessy sidecar) . It was a group of 4. We all loved our drinks. Next we all ordered. Catfish fillets, fried wings, turkey chops in gravy! FIRE, fresh and hot!! Now the sides… Mac and cheese was amazing only dislike was it wasn’t hot like other sides. I would have taken it zapped in microwave for a minute. Just so we could see the sauce move. Collards, SEASONED TO PERFECTION, YAMS sweet but not all that cinnamon and nutmeg…’they had a lil thick slurry at bottom of cup. Fire. Others had cabbage that was good and spaghetti. We all wanted DRESSING. It was sold out!! We knew that ish was good. Overall 10/10 food, service, drinks were amazing!! Some of the best soul-food from a restaurant I’ve had. One time for Milwaukee

First bite of anything is like, “dayum”! First visit, the smothered pork chops with Mac n cheese and yams was magnificent hit. A co-worker with me had the jerk, smoked turkey leg with the same sides. We tried a little bit of one anothers’ and that turkey leg was ! Beautiful restaurant and bar, really comfy dining area that has played host to some famous diners. Our servers and all the staff, we’re all happy and friendly especially their bomb bartender, Ciara! The music is loud for those who do not care for such, but we loved it. Definitely will be going back to dive deeper into that awesome menu and their famed Soul Cup and try some drinks from the bar.

You talking about some amazing soul food pull up to 1700up. I never had sweet potato corn bread before, it was amazing. The food is made fresh so be prepared to wait but it’s worth it. The Mac and cheese is not your typical soul food Mac and cheese but I was not made at it. We got the smothered pork chop. I don’t how they cooked two thick chops and kept them juicy and tender. We will pull up again.

This was my first time visiting this location. The food was really good! My friends ordered the oxtails, and I had the roast beef. It took a little while for our food to come out, but it was well worth the wait.

The only downside was that they were out of yams — which I was really looking forward to. Our waitress mentioned that they often run out of yams and spaghetti. If they’re consistently running and we were there at 3:00 p.m., they might want to consider preparing more to meet the demand.

Corell was amazing!! This was our first time dining here. He really made our experience immaculate. From the food to the drinks to the hookah flavor 10/10!! Everything was amazing I can’t believe I slept so long on this place. No long wait times on the food or drinks. I will be back every Sunday!!

This was such a massive win on every level. The food was INCREDIBLE. The best collard greens I’ve had in Milwaukee, fall off the bone turkey leg, great Mac & Cheese and real hot sauce.

Walking in I could smell the greens cooking and the whole vibe was amazing. The place is clean, welcoming, fun and lively. The staff is great and the owner and he brother, the head chef, were both present and so engaging. The whole team is clearly on board to make this place the massive success it should be.

You need this food in your life, it is uniquely delicious, it is special and while it doesn’t come out fast… it is clearly fresh and made with nothing but love and respect for the customers.

Milwaukee needs to Pull Up to the 1700 PullUp and keep this place Rockin’ and Rollin’ it’s awesome

We went to 1700 Pull Up in Milwaukee and our experience was surely one we had to share. I will make this short because the pictures says it all, but what floored us and left us loving them was keeping my husband’s wallet safe until his return after he made a mistake and left it on the counter!! The staff greeted us, we sat at the counter and the waiter came to us 3 times before we were ready. He was so professional and really in tune as he served us the entire time. Their system allowed at least 3 individuals to ensure we were good. And next the food! Best Jerk Turkey leg in the City! It was fall off the bone amazing and the seasoning let us know they knew what they were doing in that kitchen! I do not eat too many people dressing besides mine and my mom. And it scratched that itch immediately. Order your food to go if you are stopping by while the DJ is there, because he does exactly what he was hired to do! Oh and that honey cornbread? order a side of greens and you will thank me later.

The moment we walked up to the door, all you could smell was marijuana, and when we went inside the smell was even stronger. There were people inside using vaping devices and puffing on them. We weren’t there for that—we just wanted to order food and focus on getting our meal.

Once inside, it was extremely loud. The music was blasting and everyone was singing loudly, so it was hard to even communicate or place an order. As a first-time customer, it didn’t feel welcoming. It felt more like we were outsiders walking into a private gathering rather than customers coming in to eat.

When I tried to order, I was told I had to scan a code and place the order online. I attempted to do that, but their website was down. Because of that, the only option was to order through services like DoorDash or Uber Eats, which charge higher prices even though I was physically there in the restaurant. That didn’t make sense and felt like an unnecessary upcharge.

On top of that, many of the main menu items were unavailable. They didn’t have greens, oxtails, or smoked turkey, which were some of the main items I came for. After driving all the way there, it was very disappointing.

Online videos make the place look like a nice, welcoming restaurant, but that wasn’t my experience. It felt more like a hangout spot for people who already know each other rather than a warm, friendly environment for first-time customers.
