1682 Steakhouse

Food was delicious!!! Price is on the high end, but it’s worth it. Side dishes are very small. Had the bacon mac and cheese, it was very bland taste. Portion is like 4 bites. Hubby had rosemary garlic potatoes, they were very dry, like that had been on the heating lamp for a while. Rib eyes where delicious, very savory and grilled to perfection. Tables are a bit high. Wait service was exceptional. For the price it would be nice if they offered some dinner rolls and choice of sauces, like chimichurri, salsa. Etc….Thank you.

First time to speak and rock in over 15 years and wow how things have changed. Made it a point to come visit their 1682 steakhouse and I’m gonna have to say it was great! Service was attentive, food was delish, and ambiance was classy. I had the crab cakes as an appetizer and a t bone with a baked potato and broccolini on the side. My hubby had the lamb chops which were also amazing. They have signature cocktails and I would definitely recommend the coconut water!

First impression – Restaurant located inside a casino smoking area, so you need to fight your way through that in order to get to the restaurant. Actual restaurant is very small around 8-12 tables + bar. Tables were not dressed with towels + utensils or salt / pepper shakers. About 10 minutes to put in drink and appetizers orders. Did not see waitress to put in main order until appetizers and drinks came out. Waitress was not knowledgeable about menu items, or grade of beef. 30 minute wait for main. Time period in which we did not see our waitress. Beef is clearly frozen, fajitas are okay (could have better at any hole in the wall) salmon was very good. Food quality experience and service do not justify just their incredibly high prices but would probably not be up to par with a 20-30 $ per person range restaurant either. Very disappointing. Ultimately it seems it is just a spot for casino winners to spend their winnings.

The food was great as well as the service, no complaints. They give you big portions. The only issue we had is that its located on the smoking side of the casino and if you dont like smelling cigarettes while you are eating this may not be the place for you.

so girlfriend and I decided to do something different and come down to speaking rock on a friday. long story short… we won about $800 and decided to come eat at their restaurant on their dime. . I ordered fajitas and a lobster tail. lobster tail was a joke for what you pay. two bites and your done. drinks were $25 a piece and were really about $12 for the old fashion and watered down “fire dancer”. both were about $25 a piece. they have a long way to go as the meal was VERY sub par compared to the price. service was standard but food quality was very poor. girlfriend had the ribeye and was over cooked from the medium request. bill came out to $175 and I don’t mind spending that amount but this meal was no where near the amount. food quality was just too low in our opinion. we won’t be coming back to this restaurant and will just eat next time in their to go cafe. way better places in el paso than this place.

Came with my family and we all ordered something different. The steak was cooked to the exact temperature I asked for. It could have been cut with a butter knife. The mashed, baked, and fried potatoes all lacked some seasoning. The best thing was an appetizer the manager graciously gave us for the wait on the food. It was a very flavorful bacon wrapped shrimp on a bed of rice. The desserts were all good except for the brownie. It was more like a cold fudge. The service was great! Overall a great experience.

The manager just gave us our grandmother’s meal for free. It means a lot to us as she has been going through hospice. Best service! Thank you Abraham and Luis.

I do not recommend this place. Everything is over priced. Service was horrible our order took more than 30 minutes to receive our meal. The seating tables are too high. It also felt too cramped due to floor layout. I ordered the burger and tacos. The burger looked like half a patty melt and tacos were a joke. Was not impressed.

We had an amazing meal today! We started our meal with the bacon wrapped, cream cheese stuffed shrimp appetizer that we loved! Then, we enjoyed a very tender and perfectly grilled 16oz. ribeye. And for dessert, the greentea matcha ice cream was very yummy. All made extra special by our server Luis. Thanks for the experience:)

Waitress was talkative at first then she went missing for the night. The food prices were high which I don’t mind if the meal fits the price but seriously the steak was over cooked under seasoned my potato was baked to the point where it felt like a rock. The lobster Mac and cheese had 2 tiny bite sized lobster pieces. Really not worth it

Ordered steak medium well, came out mooing….server wasnt seen for 30 min. No bread with the meal.Never had anyone ask if the meal was to our liking. Talked with MOD. and she said more than half of steak was eaten10.5 oz out of 20 to me exact. Had the audacity to reheat a ribeye. Waited almost another 30 min with no remedy. Only person on the floor was the host. I would totally not recommend you spend the time nor money. Horrible service and hopefully i wont get sick from the food. Gelt like we did something wrong going to eat here. Very bad decision for us.
