The entire experience was more than we could have dreamed of. We traveled from Maryland to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary. Everyone from the greeters at the door and every single wait staff we encountered were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Our serve, Hannah, was phenomenal! We asked for recommendations on various selections: she was wonderful at explaining each one, including the flavor combos, how certain flavors melded together, and taking the time to ensure our questions were answered. She took a personal interest in us that felt genuine and sincere. She’s a keeper!!! The atmosphere was warm and intimate but also lively. The music was a perfect touch! And as a Kansas City Chiefs fan I was over the moon excited to see Chris Jones walk in and sit a few tables away from us! An added bonus to an already wonderful experience. I appreciated the way staff interacted with him and how “normal” it felt for him to be there. You have a real gem in Kansas City and we will make the trip again to this amazing establishment!

We had an amazing time at 1587 Prime. It’s our official new go to upscale spot in Kansas City. We got there around 4:20pm and had to wait in a line outside as they don’t open until 4:30. The wife did not like that. But once inside the staff made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. We tried the Waygu meatballs, lobster rolls and the Waygu katsu Sando with caviar for appetizers. Everything was amazing. Then our main entrees came. We both had the 6oz fillets with truffle butter. Hands down the best steak I have had in 10 years. For the sides we had Sautéed spinach and twice baked potato. Both were top notch. We saved room for the butter cake and crème brûlée. I couldn’t believe it could get better but it did! The staffed was so friendly yet professional. I can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful high end steakhouse. Most people dressed up. Open by Mahogany and Kelcie, hence their jersey number #15 and #87. Valet parking. Ask for trophy room tour. It’s a private VIP room for the players, Taylor Swift and family. One with microphone trophy is from Taylor Swift to TK. Really sweet.
Food and drink are impeccable. From presentation to taste, I enjoyed it all. I had Alchemy, a cocktail came with fire. Drink is quite strong, similar to Cosmo.
Table side bone marrow melt in the pit with fire dripping over steak. Very flavorful. Scallops seared perfectly. Big portions on the scallops. Carb cakes and lobster tail are amazing.
The dessert is another level.
Warm apple pit with vanilla ice cream makes a perfect ending. We also ordered chocolate cake to try. Just FYI the portion is huge! One dessert can feed 3-4 people.
Chic and elegant vibes throughout the dining area. Very very very friendly and attentive staff. They were giving us all kinds of background stories of the place.
Honestly one of the must visit restaurants at Kansas City if you have time. Reservations highly recommended.

An exceptional dining experience at 1587 Prime. Our server, Yancy, was attentive, professional, and made the evening seamless. We began with the beef carpaccio, tuna tartare, and lobster rolls—the carpaccio was outstanding, and the table rolls were excellent.
For entrées, the A5 Wagyu New York strip with truffle butter was the standout, while the bone-in strip and petite filet with lobster tail were equally well-executed. The lobster tail was perfectly cooked, and the filet was tender and flavorful. Sides of mashed potatoes, truffle fries, and sautéed mushrooms were all excellent.
Cocktails (Alchemy, Showtime, Power & Light) were expertly crafted, and the Frank Family Cabernet was a perfect pairing. Dessert—the snickerdoodle cake—was a lovely finish. A refined, memorable evening—we look forward to returning.

My wife and I decided to try this restaurant and are glad we did! I had a bone-in strip with truffle fries. My wife had scallops with a twice baked potato. We shared a cup of French onion soup. Everything was cooked to perfection and was delicious! Our server, Sumayah, was very informative and attentive. Service overall was fantastic. Valet parking was reasonably priced and located right at the door. We will schedule our next visit for after 6:30 pm so we can enjoy live music as well.

1587 Prime was an excellent spot for dinner. You do need reservations, but once you’re inside, it’s clear why. The atmosphere is lively with a singer performing throughout the restaurant, which made the experience really fun.
The food was fantastic- my steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp were huge (definitely a must-order), and the whipped ricotta was delicious. Portions were generous and filling.
Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The bill was on the pricey side, but I expected that going in, and the experience matched the cost.
A great spot for a nice date night. I’d absolutely recommend it and will come back the next time I’m in KC.

What an absolute great experience! The service was top notch. Everyone was so attentive. We probably saw 5 different people within 7 minutes of sitting down to service us. I would come back just for the service alone. The drinks and ambiance were spot on. The crab cakes got better and better as we continued to eat them. Our food was good but we do look forward to coming back and trying some new items! They have live music which brings in an even more upscale feel that adds to the place and doesn’t overpower the experience.

This was absolutely the best dining and entertainment we have ever experienced in Kansas City. Previously J Gilberts was our favorite steak restaurant, but they have been beat by far. We had the Noble Wedge, Truffle Fries, Wagyu Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Petite Filet, Carrots, and Apple Pie A La Mode. We highly recommened all of these items be share, other than the Petite Filet, each person will need their own. I can’t wait to find another celebration for us to go back! The service was outstanding! Valet parking is so efficient as easy, right at the front door. Only $20 if 1587 validates.

Make the reservation and go!!! The food was delicious-we had steak, scallops, crap cakes, salmon, tuna and all the sides. I am not a food critic, but I do know when the food is delicious! No complaints on any of the food, just praise! The drinks were equally amazing…the Queen B was my favorite but the Alchemy was a close 2nd! The service was great, everyone was very attentive and informative. The atmosphere and the live music were my absolute favorite! If you can get a reservation, it’s worth the expense!!!
