The dishes at this exquisite and delicious French restaurant are truly refined, and the elegant atmosphere adds a touch of class! I found my life’s foie gras here! Each dish showcases the chef’s masterful culinary skills, with sauces that blend fruit aromas to create an unlimited charm. I especially love the foie gras with mango and the duck breast with orange—fragrant, sweet, and very distinctive!

15 East is one of the most popular fine dining restaurants on RED and we finally gave it a visit on our anniversary. The decor is brilliant and beautiful with intimate ambiance.
Their portion was great, so 3-course was enough for us to enjoy our night. One of our favorites was the Cheese Bread from Amuse, the texture was soft and chewy with flavorful taste.
Sea Urchin and Angel Hair Carbonara from our 1st course was extremely rich and creamy but not greasy at all. Their Duck Breast was one of my favorites recently and it was cooked properly, soft & tender.
Our dessert was amazingly beautiful with delicate taste. This is their Costa Rican Cold Poached Pineapple.

Food was ok, no surprise. But the birthday plate was very cute and I appreciate it. The service is very good and thoughtful too, although between each course the wait time is too long. Their sushi cook went to Japan so unfortunately we couldn’t try the sushi.

What a beautiful and elegant restaurant. The bar area is inviting and the dining room is lovely and quiet. The service is excellent and the food is a culinary lovers delight. I tasted a little bit of everything. The caviar with eggs was great, loved the Wild Bluefin Tuna sashimi flight followed by oysters. Shared the sea bass, lobster duo and steak and of course dessert. Cocktails are enjoyable and the wine selection is great. I will definitely be back again.

Delicious food with great wine pairing in a calm and comfortable atmosphere and professional staff. Keep coming back to this place over several years already and they always meet all expectations. There’s also a private area on the second floor, overlooking the main dining hall, that’s great for hosting private parties.

Marco Moreira is the head chef and owner of 15 East @ Tocqueville with inventive contemporary cuisine utilizing French-American and Japanese styles. He combined two Michelin-recognized restaurants into one beautiful place. Tocqueville, with decades of history, and 15 East, a Japanese restaurant housed together with a bold interior design that resembles Parisian townhouses. What an amazing place to bring your significant other for a romantic dinner. In ancient China, only the emperor gets to enjoy forbidden black rice hence the name forbidden. Tonight, we have the opportunity to eat like a king! Everything is so delicate and delicious that words simply cannot describe properly. They even iron every tablecloth so ensure perfection.

Tocqueville carries the aura of old-New-York fine dining, with crisp linens and a quiet, formal room. However, the menu feels dated, leaning heavily on safe preparations without delivering the depth expected at this price point. Execution is competent but rarely inspiring, and some dishes arrive lacking the temperature and precision a restaurant of this stature should maintain. Service is gracious, but overall the experience lands closer to “classic but tired” than “timeless.”

Our family LOVES Tocqueville!!! This restaurant is a must destination for us. The food is out of this world!! The angel hair pasta with uni, the duck, halibut, and lobster is all fantastic! It’s the way the chef transform these ingredients into something out of this world! The presentation is masterful!! The staff at the restaurant brings the dining experience to another level!! Tocqueville is one of our favorite restaurant. Number one in Manhattan!!!

The first time I went there we had a lovely time. When we contacted management to organize another office party with a $120 pp budget, they told us we should be looking for a cheap pizza place off the street instead. Incredibly patronizing response. Will not return nor recommend while the same employee is handling customer requests.

Quiet and cozy atmosphere. Great Japanese food! The sushi here is pretty traditional. Also on their menu are a number of kitchen dishes that are pretty good. I wouldn’t say their menu is particularly creative, but they do execute very well.
