We celebrated Jim’s birthday Wednesday night & had a delightful time. The ambiance was magnificent. The food portion was huge, delicious, and presented well, overall it was an awesome experience. Our waitress did a spectacular job on making our celebration special, The owner came around made sure we were pleased & happy, which we were. We had free dessert for Jim’s birthday! Which was a big surprise! Every night has something going on; Wednesday is music bingo which was so much fun, even though we didn’t win, we had a good time!! We love this place. I would definitely recommend 13 Taco & Bar!!
Additionally, the restroom was clean & had pleasant air freshener, and there were sufficient parking.

My family and I ate here a couple weeks ago and it was the best meal I’ve ate all year. My tacos were so delicious and the ribeye was a very generous portion. I loved that i was able to get elotes as a side. Despite being a busy night and having no reservation, we were seated at the bar immediately and received excellent service. Everyone on the staff were incredibly kind. I know we will be repeat customers and it is well worth the hour drive.

My husband has celiac disease and cannot have gluten, the staff were knowledgeable about gluten free foods and my husband was able to eat a great meal without getting glutened/sick.

Very cool fusion place! The food was amazing, from the chips and queso, to the wet burrito to the tacos! I took a star off for the service as we didn’t have silverware and napkins until after our main dishes came out. The atmosphere was docked on star for it being a small place, but the quaintness and intimacy is great for a date!

I will definitely be back. Give this place a try if you are in the area and looking for a cool concept that you don’t get much!

Everything was delicious. Finally, I found a different Mexican restaurant. The food was good, and the music was great. Not every Mexican restaurant in Mexico has banda music, so it’s really nice to have a truly authentic Mexican restaurant in North Carolina.

Just wow! Some of the best service and food we’ve had in quite some time! Lovely small touches, like the light up drinks. I really enjoyed the birria tacos and top shelf margarita. If we lived here, we’d definitely come back. Will absolutely return on our next visit to the Raleigh-Durham area.

**New Favorite Spot!**
We just had our first visit to **13 Tacos and Taps** in Raleigh, and wow—what a gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere impressed us. It’s boutique-like and trendy, with decor that feels more upscale and unique than your average Mexican restaurant.

The menu was just as exciting, with creative options for everyone—including pescatarians like my husband and me. I went with the *13th Taco* (their rotating specialty taco), which featured beer-battered mahi mahi—absolutely *to die for*! On the side, I had the fried cauliflower bites. I know that might sound underwhelming, but trust me—these were some of the best sides I’ve *ever* had.

To top it off, the mezcal margarita was a total home run—smoky, smooth, and perfectly balanced.

Between the killer food, creative drinks, and super cool vibe, this place has officially earned a spot as our new favorite! Oh and the staff is also 5-star! Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. David, the head chef, even came out to say hello. He was one of the nicest & welcoming person I have ever met. Pretty sure we’re bff’s now. Lol. Seriously though, go check them out. You won’t regret it!!

Just back from a fabulous dinner with my husband and another couple. We all had different meals and we were all thrilled with how good and creative the food was. Not a typical Mexican restaurant yet still had the basic ingredients. Shrimp were large and incredibly flavorful with the tacos shell unlike any I’ve had before and delicious. Beef was tender and flavorful. Portions were large enough that 2 of us couldn’t eat it all and took leftover home. Owner very friendly, servers also competent and friendly. We drove 30 minutes to get there from NC State area and we look forward to returning…it’s well worth the drive.

Food was delicious! I had the Korean pork tacos, my husband had the shrimp tacos. The rice that comes with the meal was also delicious.

We had two house margaritas which were very good but $$ for the size. My husband finished his in minutes and then had a beer.

The staff was very friendly and our bartender Brittney was very nice and even reviewed the menu with is and took time to make suggestions.

We sat at the bar which was comfortable and clean. The atmosphere in this small restaurant was very nice and vibrant.

We will return but probably just have water. It was $87 for two meals, 2 margaritas, and a beer. This is too steep for lunch.

Also, during the week you can get a lunch option that comes with 2 tacos instead of 3. (My photo only shows 2 because I didntnthink to take a picture until I scarfed one down lol). I finished my meal, but was sickly full. I knew the food wouldn’t be good left over as it would get soggy. Next time my husband and I will share as it is too much food for us and too good to waste. Why not offer the lunch option until 3p-4p on Saturday?

OH MY!! Let’s start with the queso and guac, amazing. The queso wasn’t runny, so it didn’t drip all over the table. For dinner, we ordered the Tacos de Canasta (shrimp birria style), have you ever heard of this!? Birria style tacos are [usually] always beef or lamb so when I saw shrimp, I had to try. I’m so glad I did. DELICIOUS! Packed with flavor! We also ordered the Moo Moo Tres (filet mignon with rajas). The boyfriend said these are the best steak tacos! From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, we had a great experience.
