Had heard good reviews for 12A Bouy, and it was a very quaint place. We all ordered something different from the menu and 80% of our 7 dishes were great. The waitress was apologetic when she spilled an entire water on my youngest son, but it set the tone for the service after that. Would I eat here again, yes, for sure, but I would come early in the evening. The Gluttony was great. The salads were also great. The appetizers were great as well.

Overall, I enjoyed the food here and it was a great spot to grab a quick bite after crossing the bridge and checking out the area. Maps took us around the building the scenic way, but still got us there.

I decided to try this place out and was not disappointed. At 4pm on a week day, the place was almost full. Very friendly staff greeted us at the door. Wheel chair friendly entry and outdoor area. The patio did have outdoor AC units. The waitress did a great job with suggestions and I ordered the special. Shrimp and scallops on asparagus risotto. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The entire dish was epic. The meal was round $33 plus drink. The menu does include other items besides seafood. Also some vegetarian options. Did not see any vegan options. On the seafood, plenty of choices and all looked very fresh from what I could see. The presentation on the food was beautiful, the attention to details was clear. Looking at other meals that came out, this attention was not just for the special but all dishes. The locals here should be lucky to have such a gem of a local restaurant.

We sat at the bar because we didn’t want to wait for a table. We had excellent service. I ordered one of the specials which was fluke wrapped around spinach, mushrooms, and lobster and drizzled with lemon butter. There were actual chunks of lobster in it. It was delicious. The asparagus were also tasty. My baked potato was not quite cooked so she brought me mashed potatoes. They were piping hot and perfectly seasoned. My husband had the yellow snapper grilled with lemon butter on the side. He loved it. I tried a smooth local coffee porter for my dessert. I did try his key lime pie, which I don’t usually like. This one was not as tart and the crust has a delicious cinnamon flavor. I would definitely recommend eating here.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. The food has great flavor and the portion sizes are generous. I prefer the outdoor eating area because inside feels dark and cramped. Expect a wait to be seated and for the food to take a while if you go during a busy time; As stated in the menu, their kitchen is small so food takes a while to come out (usually ~45 minutes). Overall, decent lunch near the water at very affordable prices.

I ordered the appetizer of mussels in tomato sauce and it was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS, the best I have eaten. I then decided to opt out of a main course and eat the clams. The mussels were much tastier but not by much. Kinsey my sever was exceptional.

Went on a day where the seafood festival had been going on so it was quite busy, pre Super Bowl and what not. I’ve gone for dinner before which I’m assuming has a different menu. The crab cake appetizer was very expensive for the size that’s given and really, wasn’t anything impressive. The crab cake sandwich is the same deal. The conch sandwich was pretty tasty especially with the added Caribbean sauce. We asked for a side of fries and received the pictured plate below which is unacceptable. The waitress made it seem as if the person would be bringing more out and must have “ran out” but whatever, we were able to get more which really should’ve been an appropriate amount to begin with for the price of everything. Not pictured but the oysters were good and fresh as well.

Excellent food with friendly service and hearty portions. Please note that they do not take reservations; we had a one hour wait, but did some people and boat watching to pass the time. They use a text system to notify when your table is ready and it also allows you to check your wait status. The wait was worth it for us since we were not in a hurry.

The environment is nice. Staff were friendly, the restaurant wasn’t busy, and food took so long to get out.
