We visited this hidden gem as our last date before our first baby and it was 100% the right choice. The service was excellent, when I was getting too hungry (8 months pregnant means it’ll hit you out of nowhere), they were so kind to ensure we were served our first course before everyone else. The owners were so engaged and the food was pretty close to perfect from start to finish. The rabbit pie was so unique, the perfect fall meal.
My only negative was how long from sitting down to first course (about 45 minutes from opening), but if you go in prepared for it, everything else was timed nicely.
We look forward to revisiting after baby!

Mary and Bob are incredibly nice. When you arrive, they’ll talk to you like an old friend. The food we had was so delicious that our three-hour drive was well worth it. The chowder was packed with chunky seafood, the salad dressing was tasty, the scallops were perfectly cooked, and the duck was excellent. The roasted butternut squash was really delicious. We finished with a chocolate torte, which was amazing.
We missed the view since we arrived after dark, but my mom and I are planning to come back in the summer to see it. Overall, the almost three-hour drive was definitely worth it.

Was privileged to fill in when there was reservation cancellation. This is truly a hidden Gem!! The quality and presentation of the Food was exquisite. The chef Kate is truly an Artist.
The wine pairing was perfect. Bob and Mary are amazing Hosts. The view from the dining room is breathtaking.

This fabulous gathering spot tucked away in the little town of Mercer is about more than just the food; it’s about the experience. The beautiful barn-style setting manages to feel both elegant and casual all at the same time. The wait and bar staff are professional as well as engaging. The selections offered from their fixed-price menu are found online and listed by the week. For our meal, my husband had the duck and I had the cod. Both were exceptionally creative and flavorful as was the appetizer which was to die for! If you haven’t been here yet and are looking for an elevated and new-to-you dining experience, this is a must do.
