I have been meaning to try this place out for at least a year so I was excited to be close by so I gave it a go. The food has a lot of potential. I’ll start by saying my fiance got the chopped fish sub, and that was really good. I wouldn’t mind getting it again. My salmon ceasar sub left quite a bit to be desired. This sub has the potential to be like that. The bread was nice and fresh, but the salmon was overcooked to the point of outright dryness. The shrimp that was on looked overcooked, old, and rewarmed. They chopped what seems to be about 2 or 3 shrimp at most up. I’m not sure if cutting the shrimp up is their normal practice or if it was done to try and mask the fact that the shrimp were in bad shape. It was like chewing on a rubber toy vice a piece of food. Honestly, it might help if they cook the salmon about 5 min less and then toss all the ingredients in the ceasar dressing so that it’s evenly distributed. Lastly, I got the chopped turkey sub with turkey bacon and shrimp. This sub was actually really good minus the awful overcooked, rewarmed shrimp once again. I gave it 3 stars because at least one of the 3 subs we tried was good. And the guy behind the counter seemed cool enough.

My friend and I Drove 30 minutes to come try Cafe 1137 and we didn’t regret it all. I had the Chopped Whiting Sub with fries and Honey Old Bay wings (not picture) The sandwich itself was huge and I definitely couldn’t finish it all in one setting. It was so amazing and whatever sauce the put on it was really good. The fries were great and the wings were amazing. I ate them during the car ride home because I couldn’t wait lol. I def would come back. Worth the drive. I got all the food for about $25, very affordable.

My daughter and I came here for lunch today from PG County. I ordered the crab cake platter. My daughter ordered the salmon caesar sub. Both dishes were tasty. What bothered me about the experience with coming here was the lady at the register told us we had to wait outside but 3 guys came in right after us, ordered food and was not told the same thing. They were able to wait inside. Then as I was outside, I watched 2 more people go inside and they were able to wait inside as well. So 5 people were in the store waiting and we were the only ones asked to leave. I will not be back because of this. We paid $90 for those 2 meals and a dessert. There was not an option for dine in.

I ordered the big boy plater that comes with salmon, shrimp, steak, and a crab cake. The food is mediocre at best. I wanted to treat myself for my birthday and had high hopes for this place, but was extremely disappointed. Very poor quality and despite me telling them to cook my steak medium rare; they cooked it to where I felt I was chewing on a boot. Everything on the plate was over cooked. The sauce is overly sweet for no reason, the food lacked flavor. I placed my order on Uber Eats, they charged me $7 extra claiming I “requested a bigger size”. Which I didn’t, my only request was to cook my steak medium rare. I paid a total of $98 for a plate of slop. I should have listened to the reviews. This place played in my face.

Food was delicious and staff was polite and helpful. We got the catfish poboy, honey lemon pepper wings, chicken and shrimp cheesesteak, and red velvet cheesecake. Everything was delicious!
