We had a wonderful experience here! We got Spring rolls and Pho and it was delicious. The atmosphere and music is relaxing. And the owner was so nice to talk to. Ask him about his biker uniforms on the wall and his former racing life! He’s such a confident and kind family man with a wonderful restaurant. (We came at 3:30pm, so that’s why the tables are empty in these pictures).

We always enjoy the food here. The owner and service is always friendly. Pho is always flavorful and the Banh Mi is so delicious. We were told that the recipe took time to perfect and the fact that the owner took the time to improve the recipe over time really made our experience with the food and culture even more special. We are glad to have found our go-to place for pho and Banh Mi!

First of all, it’s great to see a new place in town and we can never have enough soup places in the winter. The staff and owner are very nice and friendly. The service is good and the food came quick.

My feedback has to do with the food quality and price point. The soup base is very oily and is quite bland in flavor. There’s no fish sauce offered as a condiment. The banhmi sandwich is good and the home made bread is good but there isnt enough stuffing in the sandwich for that price. The competition have more meat and bigger sandwiches for same price or less. Also 12.00 for a bowl of pho is pretty expensive, granted I’m not sure the rent for the location. I also understand that’s it’s a new location so hopefully this feedback helps with the food quality.

Very fast service, and our server was friendly. We ordered pho, springrolls, platter food, and eggrolls. The portion of everything was good. Pho has a good amount of meat and noodles. I think it would need a bit of fish sauce; otherwise, the broth is phenomenal! It’s nice how they give you and your spouse/friend two separate sauces!

We went here for the first time last night and we were glad that we did! It is decorated beautifully and there was very calming music playing. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We met the owner and had wonderful conversation during our meal. We started off with the Calamari. I forgot to take a photo, but it was delicious! My husband ordered Shrimp rolls and they were, by far, the best we have ever had! The ingredients were so fresh and flavorful that it was a delight to our taste buds! The Banh Mi bread was incredible! It was flaky on the outside and very soft in the middle. It was served warm and definitely tasted like it just came out of the oven! I ordered the headless Garlic Shrimp and it was fantastic! The shrimp were plump and the sauce was very tasty! It was so filling that I couldn’t eat it all. My husband ordered BBQ ribs. The meat was thinly sliced and very tender and absolutely delicious! The dish came with a bowl of yummy broth, a fried egg, rice and some fresh herbs and vegetables topped pickled radishes. He likes to mix things up, so he put the egg, rice, cilantro and chili peppers from the table in it and he found it to be very flavorful and delicious. The pickled radishes were so good! I will order a side of them with my meal next time. We felt the prices were very fair based on the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Overall it was a fantastic experience! This will now be a regular stop for us!

I am SO happy this restaurant has opened! The thing about Pho is it all depends on the ingredients. Have dined in once, and take out once. Both times were excellent. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Delicious broth! I had the rare steak pho and the meat is flavorful and tender. All of the right additions are offered: fresh veggies, hot sauce, hoisin- perfect. The pork egg rolls are house made and delicious and the rice paper veggie spring rolls couldn’t be better. For dine in, we had a 3 year old in tow and she loved the children’s meatball pho. Our service was great: fast, attentive and sincere. Fingers crossed the quality and atmosphere and service stay this high!

The owner and head chef makes his own Vietnamese style bread on site fresh every day. He learned the secret recipe and trained in Vietnam for 6 months before he brought it back to Okemos. The pho broth is rich, seasoned right, hearty and freshly prepared every day. I go back each time for the same combination Pho and I never get tired of it. This time, as I started eating my Pho, the smell of freshly baked buns wafted through the air and it didn’t take long before the head chef came out and we had a long conversation about perfectly baked bread.

If you want to try the famous pork noodle dish that President Obama and Anthony Bourdain had at a small restaurant in Vietnam, then this is the restaurant to get it at. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with the owner who took time out on a busy Saturday afternoon to talk with me.

He explained 102 does not actually stand for one hundred and two but in Vietnamese, it reads One not Two which literally means, there is no other place like this when it come to excellent Pho and perfect Banh Mi sandwiches

We waited to have an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Okemos! Had a bowl of Pho soup and a banh mi today, and I loved both. We loved taro smoothie and aloe drink.

A beautiful Vietnamese restaurant with classics!

Pros:
Friendly employees
Beautiful interior
Quick service
Large portions
Quality ingredients

Cons:
The bread was a little difficult to bite into (not because of the crispy exterior like baguettes should, but the white inside of the bread was tough to chew)
I wish the flavors were a bit more pronounced (at least in the vegetarian one)

Overall, I liked the food but it’s not my favorite banh mi spot so far!

Never knew about this hidden gem until my daughter was offered a waitressing job by a friend at school. This family run business serves great food and has treated my daughter like family too! We will be back many times in the future ❤️
