My boyfriend is from WV, and recommended I visit this restaurant while traveling for work. I love to travel and try out new restaurants, and have been to a variety of fine dining restaurants across the country & the globe. 1010 is the real deal. Taylor’s service was absolutely impeccable and every course was a 1000/10. The salmon and chocolate tart are a must try. Dirty martini was one of the best I have EVER HAD.

The restaurant 1010 Bridge makes a pleasant impression from the very first moments. The interior is designed in soft, light tones and tastefully decorated — the atmosphere is calm, warm, and inviting. The only detail that felt a bit out of place was the television showing a sports channel. Perhaps it’s a local custom, but in such an elegant setting it slightly disrupts the overall harmony.

The table setting is simple and standard — functional and neat. The dishes themselves, however, were quite surprising. We were served fried fish in batter with potatoes cooked in their skins, which, unfortunately, were a bit on the older side. The rainbow trout “à la pecan tilapia” with sweet potatoes was flavorful and well-balanced. The steak, already sliced when served, came with macaroni and cheese and fried Brussels sprouts — an unusual but pleasant combination.

The children’s menu deserves special praise — it was excellent, and the potato chips disappeared within a minute, which speaks for itself. Portion sizes throughout the meal were more than sufficient for a comfortable and satisfying dinner.

I sincerely wish for 1010 Bridge to strengthen its reputation as a place with high standards of taste and style, so that both new and returning guests can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and the flavor of the dishes. The restaurant has great potential, and with attention to detail, it can become one of the best in the area.

We enjoyed 1010 Bridge. It was in a unique little neighborhood. Our server was exceptional and our food was good…. With the exception of octopus which was so tough it could barely be chewed. Bummer:( everything else was really good! I especially enjoyed the pasta.

We were in Charleston for our anniversary this year, and we had the BEST experience here. Charley was our server and genuinely one of the kindest, knowledgable people I’ve had the pleasure of being served by. Everything was delicious and they even gave us complimentary bread pudding for our anniversary! Which was also delicious. Cocktails were awesome, food was awesome, everything was awesome!

The food was good, braised short rib was delicious. Same day reservation might not work, because they are a small restaurant. Suggest calling a few days ahead. We had to sit at the bar, not the most comfortable.

I went for a weekday dinner without a reservation and was able to be seated. The server was informative regarding menu items and the courses came out at a good pace. The portion sizes were perfect to be able to try an appetizer, main, and dessert without feeling overly full. Everything was excellent. I ordered a Pearfection to drink and it’s one of the best cocktails I’ve had – so well balanced.

Had a tough time landing on a restaurant in Charleston and gave this place a shot based on their menu and reviews. Easily one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The octopus was excellent, the cast iron seared steak was so tender and delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese was phenominal. Not a brussel sprouts guy and they were even excellent. The charcuterie was ok. I had an old fashioned and that was very good as well, but there shouldnt be a lot of space left in the glass. If I could give any suggestion, it would be to use creative ice in cocktails instead of regular ice. The food is elevated and the cocktail presentation should match. But that would never ever keep me from having another meal here while on town. This place is top notch and can’t wait to come back and try something new.

We celebrated my birthday tonight as a family of four, and the entire experience fell far below expectations. Our server never introduced himself, which set an impersonal tone right from the start. The charcuterie board was the first major letdown: very little cheese, minimal variety, and condiments that didn’t pair well with anything on the plate. My beets and persimmon spinach salad was bland, poorly presented, and tasted like a random mix of ingredients thrown together without any thought or balance. The soups were served in what looked like “diner cups”, and the portions were surprisingly small. The main courses didn’t improve the evening. Both the short ribs and the “1010” signature steak were under-seasoned and lacked flavor. I had requested to substitute the risotto and mixed vegetables for Brussels sprouts and potatoes, but the server never mentioned the $5 surcharge. For that price, receiving only three Brussels sprouts and three small potatoes felt unreasonable.Even dessert was disappointing. The chocolate silk tart was far too sweet for our taste, which made it difficult to enjoy the final course. The menu overall was limited and overpriced for the quality and quantity of food served. When we shared our concerns, the manager didn’t offer any adjustment to the bill—only a comment hoping we’d return to try the upcoming spring menu. Our total came to $327 before tip, and we left hungry and dissatisfied. If you’re looking for delicious food and a memorable dining experience, this is not the place. Spend your money elsewhere. We won’t be returning.
