Great beer and wonderful BBQ.
Food was fresh and delicious! Service was okay but they were super busy.

Please add some type of baked beans and maybe corn on the cob! You rock!

I never felt compelled to leave this review until seeing them bash other restaurants in town on social media. As a local, I’d go there from time to time. I never cared for the food much—I’m not big on BBQ and can just buy the sausages they sell at a local meat market, but I’d go to meet with friends for drinks. After seeing their bashing of others on social, I will not return or recommend this place. Even worse is they’ve yet to apologize. We’re too small of a community for that kind of behavior.

If the food was as good as they claim, they wouldn’t need to bash.

I haven’t left a review because I like to support local businesses, however, they earned this one with their recent comments tearing down other businesses.

This place is over priced and the food is mediocre, at best. Last time I was there, I ordered the $25 chicken salad. The chicken must’ve been re smoked over multiple days because it was like eating chalk.

My husband ordered the tri tip and sausage. Sausage was good, my husband’s tri tip he makes at home for a fraction of the price is 10x better. There’s is nothing special and a small portion.

I would’ve gone back but will not be after their recent antics. Best of luck to them but I think the Prunedale locals are over it.

I’ve eaten there many times. I usually stick to one thing that I like because the other things I’ve tried, the burger (burger night draw in), baked potato, sausage, chili and tri tip were all just ok. The prices are higher than other places that serve similar food. The bar/nightclub atmosphere is not for me.

Food is overpriced for mediocre bbq and it would be faster to have the food mailed to you. Ate there multiple times though since we lived around the corner, but last time I was there we waited for over an hour for food that never came even though there was only one other table there. If you need another reason not to come here this business thinks it’s cool to put down other businesses (on public social media) and belittle customers who disagree with it; “they’re [nearby food trucks] not impressive, but feel free to get triggered if you like”. Hope other (former) customers are triggered enough to stop going here and go support some of the awesome food trucks in Prunedale.

101 Wine Press was our local Friday night for a drink spot, but after hearing their recent videos disrespecting taco trucks and spreading ugly, false stereotypes about Mexican food. I’m never supporting them again. Not only were the tacos we’ve tried there some of the worst we’ve ever had (cold and bland) but their attitude toward the hardworking people who actually make REAL tacos is shameful.

We support small, authentic taco vendors who take pride in their food and culture, not businesses that tear others down with ignorance and disrespect. Saying they use cat and rat meat at taco trucks and that’s why they’re cheap is not only disrespectful but it’s ignorant being that they’re trying to profit off that very culture they’re speaking down on.

At 101 Wine Press, ironically, you can get a gentrified version of a taco for $8 a piece made with factory-made, pre-packaged tortillas. They brag about using “premium” Tri-tip and call it authentic, but anyone who actually knows Mexican food knows that in Mexico, not only are tortillas handmade, but no one makes Tri-tip tacos!

2 people in our party ordered brisket and it was dry and stringy.
I ordered the ribs and they were also very dry and had very little to no meat.
The barbecue sauce was very good, the chili beans were spicy and also very delicious.
Garlic bread was good also.
Music was definitely a good vibe. Service was great. They over charged us and we had to get a refund but hey accidents happen. Just double check the bill! Love the tv screens and the live music. Just won’t order food again…
They were very welcoming and had high chairs for babies, also it’s dog friendly! So that cool!

I visited 101 Wine Press to catch the Garcia vs. Davis fight, and it’s safe to say I left with quite a bit of disappointment.

The most significant letdown was the food. Both the tri-tip and the link were astonishingly dry, and no amount of BBQ sauce could salvage the lack of flavor. To make matters worse, the food arrived cold, and the garlic bread was strangely soft, as if it had been sitting for ages.

While the interior of the restaurant is pleasant, the service was far from the best. My friend had raved about this place, but my experience left much to be desired.

Overall, I had high hopes for 101 Wine Press, but it failed to deliver, leaving me with a disappointing memory of what was supposed to be an exciting night out.

A moderately sized space serving ribs, chicken, and tri tip. It has a variety of wines and a really great sangria. Locals love the place. However, staff one day allowed us to enter through the back door which angered the owner who became quite rude about it.

Popped in here to have a working lunch and really enjoyed myself. Nick introduced himself and made me feel quite at home. Introduced me to some amazing wines from the local area. Absolutely loved the flight..my favorite was a Syrah blend from Big Basin. What a treat! Had the tri tip sandwich which was excellent.
Coming from North Salinas, this wine bar is only 10 mns away and actually closer than wine bars in Salinas as they are across town.
I’ll definitely be back!
