And chai was totally pathetic. If you keep boiling chai in a pan with the patti still in, it gets bitter. Right? That’s what they served us. After one sip, I had to throw it away.
The service was good and staff was attentive. But food is what we go for
The ceiling was leaking water from one side of our table, and also the entire row of tables on that side. It was not a big leak, but definitely dripping some water. Not sure if it was clean or dirty. By the time we and others seated noticed it, we had already ordered the food. Service was not up to mark. The server left the paratha on the water dripping side of the table.
We ordered two (fan fav) parathas, the Amritsari Aloo Paratha and Chicken Tikka Paratha. The food is below average. The parathas are not up to mark. Both of it very salty. The side of Chole was also very salty, and side of Chicken dhaba was not available and substituted with chicken tikka curry, which was also below average. The raita was good. Achar bar is average. I expected more in taste and flavor, but was disappointed.
They also have an aachar bar with so many types of pickles, which made the experience even more fun and authentic. The chai was amazing too — I loved it so much I actually had two cups!
Service was good, portions were generous, and the vibe felt very homely. Definitely a must-try spot if you love Indian comfort food. I’ll be back again soon! ✨
We tried the Amritsari Aloo Paratha and the Chili Paneer Pizza-style Paratha. The Amritsari paratha was tasty and filling, though it lacked salt. The Chili Paneer Pizza-style paratha, however, was disappointing—it felt bland, and the flavors just didn’t come together well.
For sides, we ordered Dal Makhni and Chole. The dal makhni arrived cold and didn’t have much flavor, while the chole were just average. The achaar selection was probably the highlight—you can pick whichever you like, which adds a nice touch.
As for the atmosphere, the restaurant was quite noisy and the service wasn’t up to the mark. Ambiance was just okay. Overall, it’s worth trying once for the novelty of 101 parathas, but I wouldn’t call it a must-visit spot.
Service 2 Star (Team requires proper training)
Great concept for so many choices for Paratha. For me two most essential things with paratha are, Yogurt and Butter! If you are going to run out or pretend that you ran out and not touch the reserved yogurt for the takeouts, you are going to make someone upset. Then later on yogurt is served from the reserved. It’s simple, don’t say NO to a diner.
Tip:
**Salt is not Flavor, work on flavors
**Train staff to be more courteous
