It’s a hidden gem located in Westlake Village. They use high quality and fresh seasonal materials, you can tell that from the umami in every dishes. The chef must be passionate about making food and he’s creative with all the materials and seems applying his own tasting memories from other places. Every sauce is unique and you won’t want miss any of them.
This time we ordered the mussels, they are so fresh we ended up ordering two and packing the remaining sauce. The aged steak and Humus Baba are on my top list too, make sure to ask for medium done steak instead of medium rare, so you can taste crispness outside and tenderness inside.
There are so many to explore, I don’t want to be the spoiler.
They really should have give this place a better name though

I ordered the grilled oysters which came with wood-fired Fanny Bay Oysters, fennel salsa verde, and garlic flower. While it was my first time trying cooked oysters, it wasn’t too bad! I was a little worried about the texture but the salsa verde helped mask it. The garlic wasn’t too overpowering and overall it tasted/felt like sautéed spinach – earthy, soft, with a hint of salt ️ Overall, I still love my oysters raw, but I wouldn’t turn them down grilled if that’s what is being served!
Have you tried grilled oysters before?
