Our server Jackie was so wonderful and attentive. We tried a variety of oysters that were all so fresh and tasty. The rabbit pasta dish was cooked to perfection and so delicious. It was our first time and definitely won’t be our last. Looking forward to coming back.

Nice and cute seafood restaurant in Cranford. Def make reservations as the place can get busy. Options for outdoor dining and indoor dining. Great for small and big gatherings. Great selection of seafood and worth also sharing with each other. Also nice selection of kids food loke chicken tenders and fries. The service was great. This is also a “bring your alcohol” place soo bring your own bottle if you want an alcoholic beverage.

The overall experience was great. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. The ambiance was lively and busy. I had the Branzino dish and it was absolutely delicious! My husband had the duck he enjoyed it and commented on its flavorful taste. The appetizer I had was the lobster tarte and it was tasty however it was lukewarm and not as warm as I would have expected it to be, but still yummy. The desserts were pretty standard creme brulee and molten chocolate cake. I would probably try different desserts next time. I would definitely dine here again.

Really wanted to write a 5* review but sadly I just can’t. This was our second time at the restaurant and second time we’ve noticed how overly salted all of their dishes are (and this is coming from someone who loves salt and seasoning!). Unless you want people to roll out of your place with a stroke I highly recommend revisiting recipes for at least 5 of your dishes (the ones we tried personally) i.e. branzino, mussels, rabbit pasta dish (can’t remember the exact name), pork chop, and the creamy soup in the appetizer section. Even the bread they bring out has sprinkled salt on it – so completely unnecessary!

On our list for several years. We were not disappointed. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The wait staff was very meticulous about the details. Considering sitting at the bar for drinks and oysters on the half shell for our next visit.

We’re gourmet cooks and love to entertain, and this is by far one of my favorite restaurants in New Jersey. Thank goodness it’s 2 blocks from our son’s house. We arrived at 5:00 for the happy hour so our son could get a dozen oysters for half price. I hear they were exceptional. I had a couple poached shrimp that were also exceptional. The crab wontons were 5 stars, and each entree: the tuna, branzini, and mussels. We shared the gelato that was outstanding. Service was quick and friendly. All in all a memorable meal. The owner even stopped by to make sure we were pleased.

Update: glad they survived covid!!! Still excellent. Great vibe and food. Oysters, burrata, hierloom tomatoes, and tuna were all outstanding. Still can’t beat the happy hour specials.

Writing as I sit here waiting over an hour for our appetizers. Waited 20 minutes to even get water once we were seated. Absolutely unacceptable service, it shouldn’t take so long for an appetizer that you don’t even need to cook.

I recently had my bridal shower at 100 Steps and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Jack was great to work with leading up to the event and on the day of helping to set up. The service during the event was amazing. The staff was extremely attentive and polite. Since it is BYO I appreciated the staff continuously coming around to each seat to refill glasses of wine so no one had to get up. Every guest was blown away by the food – everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend 100 Steps for a private event and can’t wait to go back for dinner!
