We went late afternoon on Saturday.
Esteban and Gabriel welcomed us.
I bombarded them with questions about the types of bread, how they were made, etc and what alternatives we had. They could not have been nicer!

We asked for varios montaditos with chapatas. I particularly love the shrimp with avocado, but the salmon and the one with ham were also delicious. Wait until you taste the bread!!

The place is inviting, not pretentious, the price is reasonable.
I will definitely go back!!

Wow! I recently visited an amazing authentic Spanish restaurant in Coral Gables and I don’t even know where to begin.
The atmosphere, service, food, and drinks were all excellent.
I want to express my gratitude to Breezy, the owner, for maintaining the true Spanish flavor and ensuring a high standard of food quality.
You are truly the best in town!
I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back again and again..

This tapas restaurant is absolutely adorable with a cozy, charming atmosphere that makes it a great spot for a night out. The vibe is on point, and the staff is friendly. However, the food portions are pretty small for the price, so it feels a bit overpriced for what you get. The flavors are good, but I was hoping for a bit more bang for my buck. Still, a nice place if you’re not too hungry!

A hidden jewel on West Alhambra Circle, very close to LeJeune Road and completely out of the beaten path. I got to meet the chefs (boyfriend and girlfriend) and I can attest they are from Spain, not that this is absolutely important, but it definitely speaks volume of their intimate knowledge of Southern Spanish food. I recently found out they have a new chef named Ruben. I was pleasantly surprised with his knowledge of Spanish cuisine and his personal touch on the menu.

I’ve dined in Tabanco a few times and can personally attest that their food is hearty and flavorful. I fell in love with the Carrillada Iberica (Iberian pork cheeks) with Parmentir (emulsified mashed potatoes). The meat is about the tenderest part of the pig. I’ve also tried the Potaje de Garbanzos (chickpeas’ soup) and the croquettes. Everything is made from scratch, so it’s fresh and delicious. I also recommend the Boquerones, which is a small raw salty fish similar to sardines, but much better . Don’t leave without trying the Ensaladilla, a cold potato salad with tiny shrimps in it. And last, but not least, the stars of the kitchen, the octopus and the saucy Gambas al Ajillo, a saucy, garlicky, plump shrimps that won’t disappoint. I haven’t had lunch here yet, but I heard from other customers that the sandwiches are delicious.

To sweeten your palate and aid in your digestion, I recommend the Tarta de Mango and Spaniard’s own, Tocinillo de Cielo (a very eggy and custardy version of flan).

They also have an outstanding Spanish wine selection like Duero, Crianza, Albariño, etc. Don’t forget to order coffee or espresso before leaving.

On a separate note: the simplicity of the decoration, cleanliness, and its particular location in Coral Gables, are reminiscent of a very typical restaurant / bistro in Spain.

Disclaimer: all reviews of this restaurant before July 2025 are apparently of the previous restaurant that was at this location, giving it the rating that it has now and protecting the restaurant from having low reviews for its current state. I was excited when I saw a 100 Montaditos less than 5 minutes from me. I have previously ordered from the one in westchester many times. When I ordered my food, I made sure to select the softest bread that they have available for the sandwiches. All of the sandwiches, however were hard. The bread wasn’t chewy or soft at all. It was hard and crunchy like they were all stale. The prosciutto was tough. So tough I couldn’t eat it. I literally had to spit it out and leave it. The salmon was dry. I understand that the portions are small sandwiches, but this also goes beyond that. The size of the breads are normal for the restaurant brand, but the filling was lacking. I feel like the filling was between a 1/3 to 1/2 as much as I have consistently had at the location in westchester.

Great spot when you’re in the mood for a taste of Spain. The Tabla is always my favorite. The octopus was delicious. The Lubina fish was flaky and tasted amazing. We had the EL COTO CRIANZA red wine from the Rioja region of Spain and I highly recommend it. And with the cozy atmosphere this restaurant is a must try.

Stopped in for lunch, really great spot in the gables. Ask for Dianna she was so sweet and attentive. I ordered a glass of win, really crisp, the jamón ibérico was a hit and the portion was generous!

I ate the jamón before I thought to take a picture, it was that good! The place is beautifully decorated, and the parking is very easy which in the gables isn’t always something you come by.

10/10 show this small business some love

This is the quality of the food they sell, this was an UberEats order. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Be careful. These 100 Montaditos reviews are actually for the previous Spanish restaurant that recently closed. Somehow they took the reviews and changed the name.

Anyway I tried the food and it is a slow, overpriced mess. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu offered at $15 and look what you get.. almost nothing. It’s just flavored bread. And somehow it takes 20 minutes to make it. Take a look.
