This was an incredibly disappointing experience. I ordered ahead, anticipating a wait for my garlic shrimp, only to find they didn’t have the mini size, forcing me to purchase the regular for almost $20. By the time I picked it up and got to work, the shrimp was overcooked, with excessive dark seasoning, and shrunken in size as if fried for too long. I am extremely upset and expect a full refund. For two plates is already almost $40!!!!!! Never coming back!!!

I ordered the low carb plate and ordered a medium but she put in for a large. And when I double checked with her she assured me that was correct price and all for the medium. So I’m waiting for my food and it’s a lot of food. And it was made well so I thanked her and went on my way. Minus the order issue the food was great would have liked more cabbage but the meat was cooked nicely and tender.

Tried the Bento box, which is bbq chicken, beef and mahi mahi with rice and Mac salad. I must say the Mac salad is great. That is always a hit or miss at Hawaiian restaurants. It’s a hit! Creamy and tasty. I will definitely go back to try other dishes, like the Loco Moco.

This place is kind of a hole in the wall but I will definitely be back. I couldn’t remember where this place was today and I stumbled upon Makai which is another Hawaiian place in the area. Makai was so bad, it made me so upset that I didn’t spend the time to Google this shop again. I won’t make that mistake again. Portion flavor and price were perfect.

The lady in the cashier is always welcoming and always greet with a smile even if she’s taking orders from the phone she can still multitask and will greet me and will politely ask to wait. I never any bad orders from here and is always in time!!!! Best foods are chicken katsu, mochi chicken, loco moco, chicken lovers and any beef!!

The food is totally worth it. I’ve come back a few times and the taste of the food and portion size is excellent and keeps me coming back. The katsu musubi is definitely one of my favorites and I’m a sucker for the katsu loco which is katsu with a fried egg. The lady at the register is rude and snaps at you when you ask for items you’ve paid for and haven’t received. The social interaction was horrid but the food is good enough to keep me coming back.

If you’re a local person from Hawaii, I STRONGLY DONT RECCOMMEND WASTING MONEY OR TIME HERE. Laulau was so dry, no flavor and meat tasted old and was extremly dry! Rice was dry too. I got the regular size which was 2 laulau. Was sadly disappointed
