For around here… pretty decent. Unless you want to take a 20 min ride down to Fort Lee/Palisades.

Went here with my kids during soft opening. The staff def have to get into their flow. But every new restaurant does. So it’s forgivable. The staff was friendly and were fast to please though I wasn’t sure they had enough people for the rush that they probably weren’t expecting. I went two nights in a row and it went from a few tables to a packed night. Night and day. Coming from experience they’ll def need to get their flow. But like I said, that’s why you have soft openings,… to iron out the wrinkles.

The food was solid. My kids were happy and around here I’d consider it pretty good. We tried a few different dishes and everything was tasty.

Ambiance is nice. Real clean and bright. The place has a bit of air to it also and doesn’t feel claustrophobic. Feels bigger than other places and the chairs… comfortable.

I’ll be back again to see if they’ve improved. But from the friendliness of the staff, solid food and a clean atmosphere, I’d say we have a winner.

The negative reviews about long waits and slow food are missing the obvious: you went during opening week at prime dinner hours on a Friday/Saturday. Of course it was going to be slammed and of course the wait was going to be long.

I went on a Wednesday around 8pm and had no issue with anything. I was seated immediately and got my food fast as well. They were actually very accommodating, I had asked to switch to the cushion seat tables as I have a bad lower back and they said no problem and moved me. I ordered the donkatsu as they didn’t have this at the Fort Lee or Palisades Park locations. Honestly it’s now my go-to order from here, it seriously blew my expectations from a jjajangmyun place. The donkatsu was tender inside and crispy outside, the sauce that paired was almost like a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Also got the kangpungi (I think this is how it’s spelled?) it was also really good, super crispy.

The “vibe” and the environment was nice. Forgot to ask but I noticed there’s a bar area so I’m assuming they sell alcohol. But overall great experience with staff and food. I definitely will be coming back for the donkatsu!

Ample parking, clean bathroom, and friendly staff — that’s the main reason I’m giving 3 stars. However, the place is very understaffed. I understand it’s busy since it’s a new opening, but the service is extremely slow and the food took way too long to come out.

As for the food, it’s honestly one of the worst Korean-Chinese restaurants I’ve tried. The Jjampong had no real flavor other than just being spicy. The Tangsuyuk was undercooked and the portion was quite small. The seafood soup(?) was almost a joke.

They really need to revisit and change their recipes if they want people to come back.

Honestly seeing the bad reviews made us almost not want to go, but we went anyways and it was really good.

We got the tang su yuk, 유니짜장 Yunijjajangmyeon, 짬뽕 Jjamppong, 탕수육 Tangsuyuk, and 깐풍새우 Kkanpungsaeu.

The Jjamppong has a really strong kick to it, so if your spice tolerence is low I would recommend asking them to add less spice or just thug it out.

The portion sizes for all of them were really big, there were a lot of leftovers to take home.We were also really hungry going in, so I’d say this is more than enough for 3-4 people.

When I first visited not long after the restaurant opened, I waited over 45 minutes and the food still hadn’t come out. At the time, I thought it was understandable since it was still new. However, nothing changed on my second visit, and today I’ve been waiting well over an hour with no food yet. I’ve also seen many people complain multiple times about long wait times and food not being served in the order that tables arrived or placed their orders.

Jajangmyeon is normally served quite quickly, so this kind of wait feels unusual. Even if the food were great, waiting this long already ruins the experience — and honestly, the taste wasn’t anything special.

I hope the restaurant considers hiring more staff or finding ways to improve efficiency, rather than ignoring the issue. I don’t think I’ll be coming back, but I wanted to share this feedback.

Went there when they first opened and the food and the service were amazing. Went there again recently thinking it might change after time but it was the same, amazing food and service. The food was fresh, nicely prepared, clean and spacious. Recommended it to friends near by who went for lunch and dinner also said it was great. Best korean/chinese food around they said. Will be going again soon.

So glad this place finally opened after such a long delay!! My family & I went for dinner Wed night around 6:30pm & it was packed…but severely understaffed. We waited almost 40 min for food & saw other tables dealing with the same delays for both food & checks. Lots of mix ups too.. orders going to the wrong tables & being sent back. If you’re seating customers, you’ve got to be ready. Either limit the number of customers or have more staff.

The food was really disappointing!!! We’ve been to the Pal park & Fort Lee spots numerous times & loved them, but the jjajangmyun in particular just wasn’t good & overall flavors were just off. Tangsooyuk was pretty decent though.

I reallyyy want this location to succeed, so I’m assuming it’s growing pains with opening week & will give it another shot in a few wks. Please hire & train more staff and most importantly, match the flavors from the other locations. If it improves, I’ll happily change this review to 5 stars.

We ordered delivery through their website. Surprise d to know later after placing order that they use uber eats. They couldn’t find a delivery person so our order was just sitting at the restaurant for a good 40 mins- we eventually went to pick up the order ourselves. But during that time when we called the restaurant twice to follow up on the order and delivery, they kept telling us they couldn’t do anything on their side. I understand that, then at least let us know that their is a delivery issue, not just have our food waiting at the restaurant. As expected, Our food was cold (obviously), and was bad quality. It was our first time ordering from the tappan location. I wouldn’t rely on their delivery service. Just go pick it up or dine there. At this point I can’t even review the food.
