I really enjoyed my dining experience at Chai Hong Chinese Restaurant. Several aspects of the restaurant made the visit especially pleasant. One thing that stood out immediately was their “no tipping” policy, which is quite unusual for a full-service restaurant. Despite that, the service did not feel lacking at all. In fact, the staff were very friendly, attentive, and customer-oriented, making sure we were comfortable and that our meal was enjoyable. It felt refreshing to receive genuine hospitality without the pressure or expectation of tipping.
Another highlight was the reasonable pricing. Both the meals and the liquor were fairly priced compared to many other restaurants. Considering the quality and generous portions of the dishes, the value was excellent. Each dish we ordered came out fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, and the quantity was more than sufficient to share.
Lastly, the proximity to my home makes this restaurant even more appealing. Having a place nearby that offers good food, reasonable prices, and welcoming service is always a great find.

Noodle is very fresh and chewy! Spicy seafood noodle soup and sweet and sour pork was my favorite. Seafood soup had a really good seafood flavor and seasoned really well. Sweet and sour pork’s dipping sauce was a little sour to my taste but the pork was very fresh.

Ordered takeout today for the Jjajangbap & Tangsuyuk and I’m so happy I chose this place! Placing an order was so simple (a lot of Korean/K-Chinese places don’t have online ordering) and the two ladies at the front were very diligent about making sure I got the right order. I noticed a sign that said “No Tip” as I walked in so that might be a bonus for some. My order was packaged so carefully & thoroughly and no spills on the way home!

Now onto the food… I’ve had Jjajangbap before (highly recommend rice over noodles but it’s down to preference) but this was my first time trying tangsuyuk! The jjajang sauce was lovely– not too oily or heavy, not too much meat but a good amount still. It is sweet but that’s to be expected. It’s a really big portion as well! I paid $12.99 (overall price was $29.66) and I feel like I could get two meals out of this. I think if you ordered an extra rice then you could probably share. You get a good amount of danmuji & another side I’m not familiar with (some sort of pickled onion?) but it was such a good addition.

As for the tangsuyuk, it was pretty good and the portion size is very large for their small option. It took me awhile to drive to and from the restaurant so mine was a little soggy (not their fault) but still pretty good. The sauce leans more towards sweet than sour but it’s very addicting. They also give you a lot of the sauce compared to their dine-in portions it seems.

I can’t wait to return and try more items! 🙂

Great Suwanne area Korean style Chinese Food Restaurant. Prices were reasonable and nice 4 style banchan. However, food was late and portion of noodle were felt lesser. I liked tables…huge and seats min 6 people. Plenty of parking spaces.

Great place for lunch. My wife and I stopped by for a quick lunch. We ordered the Tang Su Yuk sweet and sour crispy pork and the Bokkeum Jja Jang black beans noodle platter. The portion here is hugeeeee. We couldn’t finish it and had enough left over for dinner.
The crispy pork was very crispy. We liked that the sauce was served separately. The noodles were good, but they weren’t al dente enough for my liking.

Huge portions, nostalgic jjajangmyeon and crispy tangsuyuk, plus a no-tipping policy and private room make Chai Hong in Suwanee perfect for group dinners.

No tipping is the best! They also have half priced Jajangmyeon and Jjampong if you order the main dishes. Today we had the combo for 8 people, which is only $200, very good value, perfect for large party.

Korean-Chinese Food comes in big portions and sharing style. Their tangsuyuk is amazing, and their jajang pairs great with any carbs.

First time here for weekend lunch. Great service. Friendly server. Food amount/portion size was better than most other places. Noodles in non-spicy seafood noodle soup looked like homemade chewy type. Tasted very fresh. There was actually a decent amount of seafood unlike other places we’ve been to. Big octopus too.

Seafood stir fry was decent amount. I just didn’t like the rice underneath. I like my rice in a separate bowl. The corn starch sauce was a bit too thick and got cold quick with the air blowing. Taste was good. Not too salty. Price was a bit high. However, the variety of items in this dish is amazing. There were also little yellow ginkgo nuts in the dish as well as sea urchin, squid, octopus, shitake mushrooms, bamboo, etc.

Overall, around $20 per person. Food quality and amount is good though. You also get a few basic complimentary Korean side dishes.

We would definitely come back for the seafood noodle soup. This place was way better than the Fung Mei down the street.
