Everything we had tonight was awesome. The dishes were well executed with complex flavors. The atmosphere is unique in the best way. An extensive and well curated wine list. Add great service, and you get five stars and my guaranteed return visit.

Update: Still killing it.

Stop reading this and go eat at this restaurant. The food is amazing, the staff is outstanding, and they deserve all the positive things I can say about them.
The ramen, the chicken, the black sesame mousse dessert, and the house sodas. It’s all so good!! We have not had anything that wasn’t top-notch. Recently we had their Rhubarb soda, 10/10 will get again.

Five star experience all around. Food was amaaaazing. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. And the ambiance was hip/cool and laid back.

Our large party literally ordered everything on the menu and everything was perfection. The ingredients were really fresh and the Asian flavors were spot on and also really unique. The cauliflower bokki is a perfect example of what I mean. It was such a creative variation to traditional dduk bokki and a must-have in my opinion when dining here. Soooo goood. They also have some really good kids menu options for the little ones as well. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything from their menu. Aaaand they also have a really nice curation of wines and sakes. Go. Eat. Drink. And be happy. You won’t regret it.

Got take out from here the first time a few weeks ago and loved it! They had two vegetarian ramens that we tried and they were both excellent (although a little on the spicy side for me). The cucumber salad was delicious as well.

I love that their takeout containers are compostable!!!! So rare in Yakima.

I loved the esthetic of the restaurant interior as well. Can’t wait to eat there in person some day! So happy to have a good, vegetarian-friendly ramen place in town.

In my search for any morsel of vegan food in Yakima, I thankfully found Tokki-ya! Not only did they have many vegan options clearly marked, but the food was a flavor EXPLOSION in my mouth. I ordered to-go and their online ordering was super clear and easy- I had no worries that they would mess up my order. Their chicken-of-the-woods mushrooms in the ramen were out of this world! I’m not even a big mushroom fan and I found myself sad when I didn’t have any left after eating them first. Pro-tip: add bamboo shoots to the ramen, you won’t be disappointed!

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in town. I have had every food item on the menu and nothing disappoints. It’s a small, family-owned restaurant. They have a simple, one page menu of food but will have you coming back for more! Their drinks are good and have flights of sake as well. The staff is amazing, and very friendly and inviting. Opening hours are limited for part of the week. This is place is a first come, first serve type of restaurant and no reservations. I’m always coming back! Despite it being small, it’s cozy. Nice for date night or hang out with friends. The cooking area is very open, so you can see the chefs at work. Can be a little loud, especially if the place is full, but still a fun and hip atmosphere. Lighting is also dim once it gets dark outside. They have a projection playing in the background and music as well. Clothing is available for sale with their logos. Take out is available. Parking is free in the front and back, but can be limited at times as there is a neighboring restaurant that seems strict on their parking rules. On one occasion I had leftover broth and they suggested I bring it home! It did not disappoint in flavor all by itself. Wish they were available every day of the week! But it’s worth the wait at the end of the day, I’ll keep coming.

Tokki-Ya is hands down my favorite place to eat! I come here often for dinner and have had an exceptional experience every single time. The food is thoughtfully done and the way the flavors and textures all come together is magic. ✨ It’s hard to choose a favorite dish but currently I’m loving the Cauliflower Bokki, Bulgogi Bibimbap, and Okonomiyaki Waffle. They also have a great selection of wine and other beverages, which the owners are very knowledgeable in and happy to help you find something you’d enjoy. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming and just an all around great place to hang out and enjoy an incredible meal. I can’t recommend this place enough! Love it!

PHENOMENAL is an understatement. Full of flavor, quality ingredients, and great portions. The menu has a lot of great options to choose from, including a variety of sake and other alcoholic/non-alcoholic options. You are missing out, Yakima, if you have not tried this place.

Terrific food and upscale restaurant. The transformation of this location is both artistic and inspirational. As you enter, a clean open kitchen designed dining area smells fresh and energizing. Terrific hand crafted menu offering unique fair not easily found in eastern Washington sets this place apart. Hand made dumplings being assembled instantly need to be ordered. The Poke bowl needed nothing added, something rare these days. The ware is artistic and presentation like something found in a big city. This is a true hidden gem bound for greatness. I also noted the establishment was 100% Covid compliant with employees washing hands regularly, using sanitizer and masked up. 10/10 in my book and I will make the trip from Spokane often.

Food is amazing! Everything I ate was full of flavor and so delicious. The cauliflower bokki was delightfully unexpected and would definitely get that dish every time I go.
