A good Korean/Chinese restaurant with ample street food choices. Food was descent and the venue was reasonably clean and roomy. Service was fine. The restaurant opened until quite late, convenient for a late night meal.

This was our first time trying these dishes, and they were absolutely phenomenal. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The service was excellent. Extremely attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish!!! The location is great as well, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place!

The service at this restaurant was excellent—the staff at the front desk were very friendly, and the whole place was clean and spacious. It was our first visit, and we ordered the spicy dry pot and some BBQ. The BBQ was delicious, but the spicy dry pot didn’t quite meet my expectations. It tasted like it was cooked with hot pot seasoning, which isn’t necessarily bad, but some of the ingredients didn’t absorb the flavors well. It felt like the seasoning was just coating the surface rather than blending with the dishes. Overall, it was a good experience, but the dry pot could use some improvement.

I’m pretty sure all these reviews are fake.
We waited 15 minutes, then a man from the back came and took our orders. He then proceeded to take our food to the back and separate ingredients with his bare hands, without having washed his hands.
Malatang was so bad… it tasted like old bean sprout water, if you can imagine that. Left all my food as it was inedible and walked out, waste of money.
Go to mala mini instead.. but don’t go too often cuz I don’t like to wait.

I come to NJ often from Flushing, NY, and most of the time I make sure to have lunch at Rahongbu because I LOVE their dry hot pot. I especially enjoy the banchan they serve, like the peanuts and sweet potato fries, and the flavor is always consistent — unlike some places where it changes every time. Always a satisfying meal!

My go to Malatang place. Very sweet lady and husband run place. Love the fried sweet potatoes service at the end.

I came to this restaurant with a group, and we each selected our own ingredients and paid separately for our malatang. However, when the bowls came out from the kitchen, all of the ingredients were completely mixed together. I can’t even imagine how it was cooked in the kitchen, and it felt very disrespectful to the customers’ food. We had to pick through the bowls and remove ingredients we didn’t like or couldn’t eat. On top of that, the service was not friendly. This used to be my favorite malatang place in Palisades Park, so this experience was extremely disappointing.

I was craving for some hot and spicy malatang this past weekend and I stumbled upon this new restaurant. There aren’t many places that serve authentic malatang-how they make it in Korea nowadays.
You get to choose all the toppings you want in your tang including veggies, meats, fish cake, noodles, and seafood. They weigh the amount and price it by pound. They then cook it in the mala stew back in the kitchen. We got the medium spicy level and it was just right
We also got an order of lamb skewers. I’ve had better quality so I don’t recommend getting it here.
The malatang however was delicious and it hit the spot on a chilly night.
Service was great considering how busy they were. It’s a casual environment and also byob! Parking lot is behind the building. Restaurant is on the 2nd floor.

The favor profile is exactly the same as Malatang places you’d find in Korea.
Guo Bao Rou is pretty great as well, won’t taste any gamines and it’s not too sauced up. Can’t say it’s the best I’ve had but I don’t think I’ve found a place in the US that does both Mala and Guo Bao Rou better than here.
Service is also excellent.

The mala here is delicious. Place is a little hidden, second floor, sharing a space with another restaurant. Service was great and food was fantastic!
